Disclaimer: I think Elliot Page is a very attractive man. It just makes me weirdly uncomfortable when members of my family compare me to him. I know they mean it as a compliment, but outside of the fact that we're both trans I really don't see that much of a resemblance between me and him? At least not enough to warrant being compared to him over a cis male celebrity. They're adamant that they're not just comparing me to him because he's trans, but I don't fully believe that. I think maybe they just don't realize that's what they're doing.

I don't really know how to explain my issue with it without making it sound like an insult, because again I think Elliot Page is attractive and I guess we do share enough small features to where you could technically make that argument, it's just... why him specifically?
