This is a weird memory to have coming back, but could it be that guy on YouChew who drew his own avatars and signatures and it was usually a big tittied muscle girl, a pony or a combination of both? In hindsight, Arzette being a failure is pretty ironic given in terms of marketing, they seemed to check all the boxes.

Not only was it revealed at a "professional" gaming event, backed by an esteemed gaming company (LimitedRun), but you had DigitalFoundry shilling and working on it. Jirard shilled it at IndieLand and other eCelebs shilled it on TwXtter. Not only did Vinny stream it, but he even voiced a character in the game. The game's available on pretty much every platform under the sun, it's reletively cheap ($20), not to mention them being able to capitalize on YTP nostalgia.

Makes you wonder, what did Pizza Tower, for example, do that this didn't?

Are the sales numbers in for Arzette? I was going back and forth on getting it, but I don't think I will given what I've learned reading about it here (don't wanna play as a lesbo).
I hope this gets people to try and play the CD-i Mario and Zeldas because they're not half bad. Not as polished as the Nintendo developed titles, but still fun for what they are.

I'm going off the number of Steam reviews, as well as the fact that most YT vids on the game have barely cracked 10K views. Compare that to the break-out success Pizza Tower experienced almost right off the bat.

Pizza Tower came out of nowhere and doesn't have games that look like it. Arzette is trying to look like the CD-i games "but be GOOD", which is pretty insulting.
Goes without saying if they just released a CD-i collection, it would've sold way better than Arzette. For YTP fans, makers, the curious who have no idea what a Youtube Poop even is, and even old Mario and Zelda fans, That would've been the better deal.

It was Geibuchan, not Pullahoko, who designed Arzette, but it seems that through the game more than one artist animated her appearance in the cutscenes (Jimmy D. is Jimmy Davis, as per the credits).
Geibuchan was a YouChew user who used to make Azumanga Daioh fan art but I don't remember much about him.

At best, Arzette is easily comparable to Toby Fox's Undertale and Delatrune where they are games heavily lifted from other games with OG donut steel games that are just boring through and through. Pizza Tower, while not original by design, is still a fun and enjoyable game.

The only thing that's said on the site itself is that he was charged with 'court ordered commitment', whatever that means...

I'd assume the Youchew-adjacent trannies and assorted freaks who were stalking CS188 for years on end have finally killed themselves. Those creatures are usually the main reason why a lot of those youtube poop personalities end up retiring from the hobby. Not long ago, Jimmy D. Pooper called it quits from YTP specifically, because the zoomer mutants from YTPMania wouldn't quit stalking him everywhere he went. Interesting update. It could very well be the same Oz, but who knows, and IMO it's not that important. So much time has passed that it's far more worthwhile to talk about how YouChew's handling of the whole thing (i.e. the so called 'crisis' happened after YouChew admins essentially sold the forum to Oz, and even after he was gone the admins & ruling elitists saw it fit to exploit the 'crisis' done to root out and cancel users whom they felt weren't sufficiently paraphilic/shitlib for their death cult).
As for the registry check, IIRC I looked it up at the time because YouChewers usually deflect to "Oz is a child molester" instead of talking about anything substantial about him. It gives you an idea of how impotently narcissistic they are that they can't so much admit they screwed up by associating with him in the first place.
