The Elder Scrolls

True, but at a certain point you should just give up and expect inconsistencies.
I mean, I agree, but I also think that Elves lifespans aren't an inconsistency just something that isn't really made a huge point of.

When you look at it, you can find an answer. But even if you couldn't, you can just assume they can live to be roughly 1000 and nothing really falls apart.

All elves living for hundreds of years make no sense honestly. Imagine spending 300 years as a tavern keeper.
Would make more sense if it was just mages who could extend their lifespan
I believe in Pocket Guide to Empire it's mentioned that High Elves who are exiled to the mainland see it as a fate worse than death so I think it's safe to assume that any Altmer who is living outside the isles either committed some crime, committed some grievous faux pas/transgression or is a dissident of mainstream High Elven culture that has forced them to live in what they see as a third world shithole. Beggars can't be choosers and all that.

According to the UESP, the Altmer , Bosmer , and Dunmer live 2 to 3 times longer than humans, with a 200-year-old *mer being old, and 300-year-old *mer being very, very old. However, I can see the Altmer having many members being over 1000 years old, because they are the most talented race with magic, with great respect for study. Studying magic can extend your life, that's what Savos Aren means when he says "What you learn here will last a lifetime, several if you're talented".

And then you got Wuunferth the Unliving, who's old enough to remember the ban on necromancy 200 years ago, or the writers just fucked up, which is probably more likely considering writing talent at Bugthesda.

The problem with the UESP page is it takes that info from an ESO Q&A. If you want to take that as canon then to each their own but in my opinion ESO has a complete disregard for lore even worse than a mainline Beth game. ESO is the game that books in 2E that were written in the 3E and 4E (they had to retcon this, twice), the "loremaster" couldn't name all the 9 divines and has lore that says that Ysgarmor had a storm atronach bear that he rode into battle because they wanted to add "cool" lore to a mount in the cash store.

ESO added a fair amount of cool lore and touched on some deep lore topics that have been largely ignored since MW. I'll take easy to ignore, inconsequential shit like crown store items flavor texts alongside the cool stuff over shit like Nords worshipping the Nine or the likes about any time of the day.

I think the fundamental problem is that Bethesda and Zenimax have a gameplay first, lore comes last design which is fine in one regard but the setting and lore separates TES from becoming generic fantasy slop and the game is at its most interesting when it embraces the cool and weird parts of it's setting. I think for me the problem with ESO is that instead of the lore getting fucked up in one area of Tamriel it does it everywhere. Moreover, since it's an MMO they need to do even more grand spectacles to sell more DLC. The final issue is that since ESO is set in the past, all these major events never get mentioned in the mainline games. No one ever mentions the 3 Banner War or Molag Baal's invasion of Nirn. Sure a lot of people IRL don't know about the Crisis of the 3rd Century or the Punic wars but it just feels jarring that nobody or no book mentions the time that the TES equivalent of WW1 happened or how no one in TES:IV mentions "this whole Oblivion Gate thing is kinda similar to what happened in the 2E"

I think that most of these issues are things that Bethesda is also guilty of but the sheer volume of it because of the scale of ESO, its DLC, and that they need to make their new glowing tiger mount or lava player skin have a deep lore reason tm (Rather than saying it's just something a mage's guild apprentice made to show off or something like that) makes me on the whole dislike ESO lore even if they do come up with some cool ideas from time to time.

Luckily, Mikey Kirkbride taught everyone to just believe whatever the fuck they want about TES lore

I don't follow ESO at all, but I've heard that he made an offhand comment on reddit about one of the Aldmeri characters being a time traveling character from his C0DA story and it caused a bunch of ESO autists to lose their shit. Anyone know anything about that?

It's not the longest thing, a 60 page graphic novel you can read here:

Not just ESO autists lost their shit, but Elder Scrolls autists of every stripe. We can't decide if Kirkbride made an effort shitpost or was so far up his ass with all his eastern philosphy and enough drugs to kill an elephant that he could see sunshine.

The only comment that he made about ESO I'm personally aware of was him complimenting Sotha Sil's writing- rightfully so, best TES character since Vivec.

Though ESO did add Sermon 37, which has this:

""Go here: world without wheel, charting zero deaths, and echoes singing," Seht said, until all of it was done, and in the center was anything whatever."

"world without wheel, charting zero deaths, and echoes singing" = ww.c0da.es

Some were indeed pissed at that.

Can you translate this into English so I can select appropriate level of outrage?

Can't really feel anything regard elder scrolls girls ever since Delphine made her appearance.
I swear, if we get a Skyrim tv series, it would be simply perfect if she was potrayed by brie larson or dylan mulvaney...
The waifu list is also more front where Dark Souls is simply superior, since we got Gwynevere and Priscilla...

Vampires is softcore necrophilia and serana's as bland as she is flat chested, the only she has the girl form the other DLC is that she doens't get mad after you kill her father, and even then the only worst pick would be either delphine and ANY female npc from Shivering Isle, since "don't stick your dick in crazy" is the very second rule after "must pass Harkness test".

Imagine needing mods to make a character to be somehow appealing.
