"Because role-play" ain't a good reason gameplay wise
IDK, everyone bitches they can't kill everyone in Skyrim but somehow letting you kill her and the most the brotherhood is bad because...the alternative is better gameplay wise?

Why not just do the Dark Brotherhood then? I don't get what the fucking problem is here. Nobody bitches that killing everyone in Fallout 1 is nearly, if not, always the worse gameplay outcome.

Maybe for the time of it's release but it's nearly 13 years old and despite still getting updated (only to fuck everything up and somehow break all the old mods) the ui and graphics are horribly aged, there's still lots of bugs left in the game, and not the mention the fuck ton of small things that drag it down like not having a proper fucking companion inv and level up manager when New Vegas was able to figure it out a year before Skyrim's release. The only thing keeping Skyrim relevant today is Nostalgia as well as the modding player base for the game.
Skyrim is like an old whore they won't let retire, Bugthesda just keeps putting more lipstick on this pig, slapping her on the ass and telling her to go out there and make daddy Todd some money!

But I will give credit where it's due. Skyrim is one of the most immersive fantasy themed walking simulators around, and if you install the mod "Legacy of the Dragonborn" it becomes one of the most immersive fantasy themed interior decorator simulator too.

I always spare Paarthurnax because it's funny trying to picture Delphine, an old man and a handful of followers you deemed worthless trying to assault High Hrothgar, when they couldn't do anything against the elves, the pygmies and their familiars. It's also funny watching her try to bluster the Greybeards in Season Unending.

That's why I download Paarthurnax quest expanded so that I can just Delphine to shut up and do what I say. Honestly the problem with Skyrim was that it became fully voice acted and made a very simple problem like this more complicated than it needs to be.

The same author of that mod mentioned about being complicated intentionally to give you actual reasons to choice.
The entire dialogue with Paathurnax with it is make sure he doesn't go nuts like Alduin.
And Delphine is just shutting up but being aware about allying with him.

Killing him is more way challeging thought; three dragons at the same time. Ovaading fighting with you is the most based one.

To take a step away from Skyrim for a moment; I was wanting to ask about Elder Scrolls Online. Been trying to get into it, but I have a few questions.

Namely, does anyone here have a recommendation for a class in the game? I was planning on running solo as much as possible, sticking to PVE. I usually play melee/DPS, but I'm more than willing to try something different if anyone recommends anything.

Yeah this is a pointless complaint, as in most RPGs, more options, even if sub-optimal, is better than none. Especially in Bethesda RPGs where they almost NEVER let you break questline continuity and force you to play a schizo character with no allegiances or morals whatsoever.

Just play whichever one you think is cool. Every class can fill any role and use any weapon. There are class specific abilities. There also abilities from weapon, armor, guild, etc skill lines that any class can use..Most meta builds will have a few class abilities a few weapon/armor abilities and maybe a couple from a guild skill line or something. Any class can be viable in endgame content if you want to do that later. Some classes can be more optimal for certain roles if you want to get minmaxy. For open world pve and dungeons you can pick anything and be fine.

I find myself at something of an impasse when it comes to the Paarthunax question, as I hate the NKVD wannabes known as the Blades, but I also support the notion of all dragons having Racial guilt for existing. Delphine herself is of the perfidious Waywest Estuary phenotype, the lowest of the Bretons

Delphine offers more gameplay concessions in the form of dragon hunts, but the gay beards actually point the player towards where the shouts to use them actually are. So on the gameplay level Paarthx has the edge, from a lore fag perspective, The blades are an all but dead organization, like the alessian order or the blood templars, were as Paarthx is the origin of the contemplative elements in Nordic culture, and could perhaps one day come to a greater understanding of the kulpa's. Like it was never really a good debate as Delphine uses Nuremburg logic where as Paarthx goes yeah, but I also ended it.

Honestly Arcanist is the most fun class imo and I'd recommend going light armor build for the Magicka boost. You can do medium armor and re-spec some of the abilities to consume stamina instead of Magicka but that's only really worth it if you're playing a Stealth build. Warden is pretty fun too and lets you have a bear familiar that fights with you so that's another good option.

The only thing I would avoid is anything heavy armor related, the DragonKnight class and the Necromancer class. Heavy armor makes the game too grindy and slow, DK is just kind of boring and Necro is badly balanced and has harsh penalties for using your abilities in front of certain people. If you just have the base game and don't have access to the extra classes just go Templar or Sorcerer, they have more playstyle flexibility than you'd expect.

Dragon mario also lets you meditate and strenghten 3 of your shouths, which further takes the edge; the reward for completing the blade "questline" is a perk that lets you deal extra damage to dragons, and can be obtained without killing paathurkangz by "rebuilding" the blades before the summit (or, to be sure, before learning dragonrend).

So... I saw my brother is still playing the elder scrolls card game on his phone; isn't it dead? like... no new card being added and shiet; how many players does it has?

Who are the Blood Templars?

I think he's meaning the Red Templars, but they never got anywhere other than a few forum posts. I believe that they were meant to have a larger focus in the Legion questline for Morrowind and filled a role kinda like Turkey's military with how they intervene when the civilian government gets out of line, like with how the quest involving the Talos Cult hinted at something much deeper going on.

Bethesda once again cucking out to a really cool concept so that we can have a boring faction like the companions.

Honestly, depite their presence in the games, thalmor are easily one of the nost boring faction, due to how repetitive and obnoxiously evil they make them look.
Mankar Camoran and the mythic dawn wasn't great, but the presence of sleeper agents all over the game and the Camoran podcast in his paradise made up fof it, or at least made the faction a little more interesting than randomly meeting 3 thalmors and a nord prisoner instead of M'aiq.

It's even dumber when you consider that the Thalmor Have everything they could want in a political sense. They're an island nation tath and at no risk of invasion and the Empire is broken and without the Septim bloodline. Getting involved with Skyrim only serves to turn everyone on the mainland against them.

Political, I guess, but ideological - Hell no. Their endgame won't be realized until every non-Mer is dead and the non-Altmer Mer are brought to heel.

Allow me to resume all races in a nutshell:
Dunmer and nords prove that racism is multi ethnical.
Altmers are like the dunmers in term of racism but with an extra dose of incest added to the mix.
Orcs worships sentient shit.
Bretons are fr**ch.
Redguards are sand niggers.
The imperials have fallen (billions must die).
Wood elves would rather eat themselves than fruits.
Kahjiit have crippling drug addiction.
Argonians are farmtools
The only dwarf alive is a literal fat bastard.
And all but a single flamer is now a blind gollum.
