Stopped watching a Youtuber after they decided to shill BetterHelp in 2024. You know, the company that puts zero effort into quality control and sells patient information to advertisers? Again, in 2024. When everyone knows about this. I'm not giving any Youtuber the benefit of the doubt about sponsorships anymore; I'm fucking tired of this idea that online content creators shouldn't do the smallest amount of due diligence before hawking some fucking garbage. It's like how they try and shill overpriced TV dinners and spend more time showing off the "food" than actually eating it. Reminds me of this scene:

I do love how Historian does his ad spots. Turning his product shilling into its own series with lore about the annoying salesmen screwing with people to push their products is a witty sort of self-deprecation that it makes up for the interruption of Ad Time.

I used to watch The Critical Drinker's livestreams but stopped once I realized he and his guests have absolutely no interest in film and only care about banking on outrage pornography. The entire grift-right culture war YT scene is really awful, just an echo chamber devoid of actual film fans. The only exception I'm aware of and pay attention to is Film Threat.

This is an interesting thread, a lot of posts that I can resonate with. Big Yellow was a YouTuber with a hyper autistic niche to begin with and it was fairly fun, I liked those fighting game videos he started out with. As the content devolved into things that were more and more retarded, you can tell he was more and more of a weird queer. I usually just listen to videos like his, so it was absolutely hilarious to see this man on camera. It is like that meme of women putting their face in front of everything they want to "show" but with a homo. Like I had seen him in some earlier videos and ignored the nails, but now he just looks horrifying.

You can tell he is massively playing into the LGBT audience with the avatar switched to some anime version of himself and the retarded video subjects like the history of particular colors of Lego bricks or Pokemon tiers that nobody plays. His channel now is just key jangling for autistic fags instead of just autists, actual slop content that nobody had actual interest in before with a few queer references thrown in.

I'm also pissed off at people who make retrospective videos and uphold the thing they're reviewing with today's morals. As in, they would call something made in 1950s "homophobic," despite being made in another era. Or how they would keep a PS2 game to modern standards in fucking graphics. Not art direction or art style, but fucking graphics! Of course a PS2/GC/Xbox game isn't going to look as good as the remake, retard.

I also detest when people say something like "This took me 2 PLUS hours to do" as if they couldn't just say, "This took me more than 2 hours to do". Or when they say "2 POINT 3 Millions" instead of "2 millions 3 hundred".
This retard speech kills a language, I miss grammar nazis. If I learned English as good as I did, was mostly because of them.

Also, while I generally enjoyed some gokanaru's videos, the dude looks like he's an insufferable dick. Most of his videos that aren't the ones about Youtube and H3H3, are nearly unwatchable to me.

Once I finally started trekking through the 2 hour video, at 35:50 I hear this:

I wish I still could, I really like what he does for charities and he's leagues above just about every YouTuber in terms of integrity, but his humor has been a lot more hit and miss lately. When it comes to analysis he's no different from every other hot take generator. Maybe I'm just salty cuz I'm a Bills fan though.

BetterHelp has been the sponsor everyone's piled onto with their exploiting people who are in vulnerable places (and rightfully so) but BetterHelp couldn't hope to make as much money off of that market as gambling companies do. I can't edit the message anymore, and I realized I forgot to add that another way of saying "point million" numbers would be to use the term "around," unless is a very specific number. As in "I have around one thousand fifty hundred hours," rather than the braindead "I have one POINT five KAY hours." You're making a video, it's not exactly rocket science to write a script that doesn't use monkey terms.
