BSG has decided to release a new tier Escape of Tarkov which of course is more expensive than previous Edge of Darkness edition:
The upgrade from EoD to the ((The Unheard)) edition costs about 95 EUR in Yurop (without VAT). It lists busted pocket size (which now looks like scav vest - you no longer need a rig for 1x2 magazines).
Flare that can allow friends to join mid-process and essentially allows clans to bully an entire raid:
Also Scav snipers will ignore you if you have shelled out enough $$$ in game.
Most importantly, the highly demanded PvE co-op mode that is NOT a DLC according to BSG - meaning if you have EoD you can go fuck yourself or cash out another 80-100 USD.

It's completely shitted up in such way that tranny jannies gave up moderating it, delegating eft chats to be spammed while they focus their tranny wiping less-frequented channels doing it for free.
Before, it was stash size, then paid skins. This is an outcome of complete retards who accepted MTX being added to the EFT with copium that 'it is a fund that will help them create an effective anti-cheat', in reality being a process of slow-boiling the frog to the degree they decided to ramp it up to 11 and ask them to cough up ridiculous price for something that should have been in a base game already. This can be summed up just as this:
I assume this is a result of some heavy-handed stake/shareholder demanding even more money to flow, but this is just retarded. I have not seen such a spike in monetization before this - given before sure, the EoD did cost a lot but most of the shit it offered was attainable through progress in game and you could get better gear/cache/size anyways.

Jeez, Wargaming and Gaijin could learn a thing or two from BSG on how to jew your paypigs audiences.
Also, this is not stakeholder shit, BSG may operate in the UK (as a shell company anyways) but their main offices are in Russia. Thinking about it, Atomic Heart really was a lightning in a bottle if the current state of Russki games are like this.

Either way, if not stakeholder or shareholder, whoever who has put significant money behind this or upper management. Between the four editions of the game and the first DLC with paid stash upgrades, there was just Arena stand-alone which was free with EoD. But only after the paid stash upgrades the monetization has ramped up aggressively which makes me think this is something out of someone barking orders from top and/or BSG realizing they're in deep shit after wasting money on Arena that nobody had played thus this shit torrent of MTX being added.

Edit: Also, kind of funny how BSG copied SPT but make it co-op and without mods. We don’t know what will happen to the actual SPT, but whether they will persist will remain to be seen.

Theres no way their coop mode was more expensive to develop than Arena, some animefags already gutted the client to bolt on SP to it while also giving you the freedom to install mods and other shit

Either the SPT devs will continue to operate underground in order to give BSG the middle finger or they quit in unison for the same reason. Still, the Tarkov lites don't have moddability and are all online-only so SPT is the only saving grace. I haven't heard anything regarding Hunt Showdown and whether or not that has offline PVP (same with Gray Zone Warfare).
Also, the lore of Tarkov (for any of the lorefags) makes it a somewhat selling point compared to the other Tarkov-lites but that is another story. The gun models are still the best in the FPS genre, especially with Insurgency Sandstorm and Squad becoming more... complacent in that department.

Hunt does not, only SP features are challenge modes that give you an area to do certain tasks with certain loadouts, but you cant play the PVE content at all as you could do in a regular raid iirc

It uses Tarkov files naturally. SP Tarkov says you shouldn't pirate it but you probably can do regardless and experience better Tarkov experience without 5000h sweats and/or cheaters.

Plays far better than the actual game. Tons of mods that fix shit that’s broken in game, like AI, recoil (was fixed in SPT before regular game), optics, all that fun stuff. There are AI ‘pmcs’ with human-like programming (no clue how well that’s done, never played SPT but my buddies swear by it). I’d recommend it if you’re a solo gamer anyways, but for PVP gamers like me it’s pointless.

There are people working on a multiplayer mod for single player Tarkov, hopefully, this blows up. Playing with friends was the only thing keeping me going. With this news we're all quitting.
