Inactive Byuu / byuu_nyan / setsunakun0 / Near / David Ginder - "Non-binary" furry programmer who wrote a Super Nintendo emulator, tried to blackmail Null into removing his thread, and is probably actually dead lol

This part is the only thing that actually makes me feel sad he died. Not because he himself is gone, but he left someone who is clearly autistic at the very least hoping all the way until the end that he’ll get a happy life with a man he likely viewed as very interesting and smart. David said it was a “platonic relationship” but to me it always read more as “I left my husband while he had a crisis in his life and had to take care of children, but I string him along so I don’t have to worry about divorce :)”. Truly a scumbag indeed.
David's life partner is really the only innocent victim in all of this.

So uh who actually cares about Byuu?

The furry and troon community don't. They only cared insofar his death could be used as a cudgel against Kiwi Farms.
His family doesn't.
The emu dev community doesn't.
The rom pirate community doesn't too much. Maybe a few retro gamers here and there appreciate his work but the majority of pirates are 3rd world browns who can only run Zsnes and Snes9x. They probably still use Zsnes despite being outdated to hell.
Activists/journalists obviously don't.
Hector is apparently Byuu's friend but he doesn't seem to act like one.

Patrick is the closest thing we have to someone caring about Byuu. He married Byuu after all.
Kiwi Farms also "cares" about Byuu but even if we make fun of his life choices, our care for him still seems to be more genuine than the above groups. I mean KF confirmed his death for god's sake.

I don't recall if it was specifically said to be the autopsy, but it's not like a morgue or crime scene photo is any more plausible. I mean, can you imagine the Japanese cops sending a grieving spouse a photo taken mid-ACK?
The Japanese coworkers were apparently at the apartment when the police broke in, and one of the coworkers was handling the estate. I don't know if Japanese police would leave the coworkers unattended at the scene of a suicide or allow coworkers to take a photo of a dead guy - but given Hiromi was liasing with an unnamed person who probably was Wayne, it's possible that he could have taken a photo of Byuu and sent it on.
It's traditional in Japanese funerals to carry a photo of the deceased (that are later put on a Buddhist altar) in a frame draped with mourning ribbons, and there's services to photoshop photos to make them suitable for this -

- so I suppose a very freaked out Japanese person might think "we don't have any photos of this guy, so I'll take a photo for the funeral portrait and a retoucher can make it presentable", unaware that this tradition isn't exactly followed the same in the West. It's still pretty weird but I don't now see a reason to doubt Wayne.
It was never made clear how @Wayne Beckett got a picture of the urn. Maybe the funerary sent it to him. It makes sense it's just a cheapo jar to temporarily hold his ashes before scattering them but that still makes it the hilarious that they put him in a cheap jar.
Hiromi's contact (that was likely Wayne) was going to help scatter the ashes, but they seemingly went unscattered because Byuu's husband want them scattered "somewhere peaceful Byuu liked to go" and the would be scatterers said "he didn't leave his apartment so there was nowhere he liked to go". If they were holding onto the ashes or considering repatriating them (which is not a straightforward process, and probably would have been harder when Japan's borders were closed) it makes sense to take photos of the cheap "temporary" urn.

As hilarious as it would be if they did his funeral with a beatific smile photoshopped onto his day-old, bug-eyed, asphyxiated corpse, it's not like no photos of Byuu existed. He had a passport and probably an employee ID and so forth. Whoever was handling his possessions would've had access to those.

I really think the picture after death claim was bullshit, and more of an attempt to say “look he really is dead!” without being able to give definitive proof other than the urn which he likely thought we’d believe especially considering now we know David likely was in that cookie jar. There’s no real reason Wayne would have to take a picture and it would be highly disrespectful, even if it was for some weird funeral procession for a nobody gajin. I always just took that claim with a grain of salt because the only other time I’ve heard about someone that’s not police taking pictures after a suicide was that weird black metal dude who took pictures of his buddy after he shot himself for a cool album cover, and he certainly wasn’t doing it out of “respect”.

<-------- Is it even possible to cutetify my ugly dead bug face? Well, if there's anyone that can turn me into a Bishonen straight out of an Otome game, it would be the Japanese.

Chibi twitch karaoke funeral when??

Apart from Chibi liking retro Nintendo games, has there ever been a Chibi and Emulation community crossover?

The Dawn of the Black Nintendo Hearts

Ultimately it seems that the only active memory of David on the Internet is actually this thread. For what it's worth I think we do care, in a way.
I care, but the only person I feel bad for in reality is his husband. I can't imagine just ignoring my spouse when I'm in that deep of a crisis. David did a very selfish and wrong thing, and now he alone is suffering for it. Poor guy, clearly a bit of a tard too. I actually feel horrible for his husband at this point. Imagine what he's going through, imagine your fucking HUSBAND ignoring you and playing neck jump rope in a foreign country instead of even TRYING to talk to you all while having to raise children that aren't even yours after your husband fucking bailed on you to go play eunuch in japan. It's pretty vile and disgusting shit and gives us real insight to how much of a piece of shit david really was. That's just selfishness. This is on my mind a lot because, what the fuck who does that to someone who's even a platonic spouse.

Some byuu name-dropping on the zsnes boards. Some insight into byuu's character in the early days and this stuff has been brewing for a long time, long before Kiwi Farm's existence.

Apparently even as early as 2010, he already alienated the SNES/emu community or got alienated. There are also claims that byuu doxxed someone's IP address? The emulation scene is very autistic and the zsnes community are self-described "acidic" so take their words with a grain of salt.
Amazing posts. These pictures warm my heart like you wouldn't believe. Not because they shit on the dead queer relentlessly but because of the general tone the messages are conveyed in. Reminds me so much of the many forums i used to be part of back in the day, really good times. Sad that KF is pretty much the only place left on the internet that is still remotely like this, it used to be so different. Sorry for being a sappy homosexual.

That was "Dead" (Pelle Ohlin) from Mayhem. The picture was taken by "Euronymous" (Øystein Aarseth) from the same band, who was later famous for being murdered by Varg Vikernes, also of the same band and later Burzum.

Man it's like flogging a dead horse everytime we bring this troon out.

I can't tell if that picture of lady sitting next to the guy, is the lady dead and this is some kinda weekend at bernies shit going on? Or is that the picture they photoshopped to make her death memorial photo from? Anyway they didn't release a death photo of Byuu?

Damn I really wanted to see them try to make a tranny look honorable as Japan's custom. I hope they at least took his cookie jar of ashes to the local Shrine for a month

How about they monetize Byuu's death by making a based on a true story J-horror movie? The opportunities are endless. Since Byuu died in a distressed way, he definitely exists as a ghost with a grudge, haunting the apartments of Arakawa. He cannot rest until his cookie jar is found and buried or until Kiwi Farms is deplatformed.

Fun fact: someone committing suicide in an apartment drastically reduces its rental value. It's considered jiko bukken and is legally recognized as a defect that must be disclosed (along with properties where a murder happened and a few others). Not disclosing can allow the tenant to take legal action.

So this inconsiderate asshole also lowered the property value. He should have gone to that suicide woods, but that would have involved going outside, I suppose.
