If the people responsible were minors, would they get 20 years
Yes.

Andrew Osantowski received a sentence of 4 and a half to 20 years prison for making terroristic threats. He received parole at 4 1/2 years.

There were some rather grievous errors during his sentencing because Michigan law uses points and they were applied inappropriately in his case; while guilty of a 20 year felony, whether or not you serve all 20 years is dependent on whether or not you actually committed the act. If I'm minsinterpeting the law, please correct me! At any rate I think the offender, if apprehended, would serve at least 3-4 years in prison and some unknown time up to 20 years on parole.

Why would Gamergate 2.0 do this?
THOSE EVIL TRUMPLING CHUDS JUST DON'T WANT QUEER AND NONBINARY FOLX TO HAVE ANY EXISTENCE!!!!
My total baseless speculation: There was a gay orgy and it was discovered that minors were involved so someone called in a bomb threat to cover the whole thing up.
Mostly baseless but it would definitely be a pretty good way to write an article.
It happened to them last year, so I am thinking that there is some pest who has beef with them calling it in every year trying to cause trouble for the event. Probably trying to not give them attention.

Look it's sad to say but people are retarded and there is no one more scornful than a cancelled furry or some weird sex pest with nothing to lose. I don't think this was some orgy cover up. I've been to furry con orgy rooms are well after after dark hours.
I think it's also worth noting in 2022 they had complaints of people smearing shit in the bathrooms and rooms and throwing diapers around. Which sounds to me a lot like rainfurest, then the next year the bomb threats started.

Please stop shitting in your rooms. (Archive)

Conspiracy to get the place closed down or just retards being retards?
I'm leaning on some exceptional schizo is determined to shut down the furry con because he is either a scored furry who found Jesus or is some weirdo who finds furries to be his enemies. But I'm fairly sure the people who want to close the place down have some weird religious schizo message I guess.

Looks like they made an arrest in the bomb call.

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/n...reat-against-ypsilanti-twp-motel/73242640007/

A California man has been arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat against a Ypsilanti Township motel, officials said.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies were called at about 8 a.m. Sunday to the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest for a bomb threat.

At the time, the motel was hosting the Motor City Furry Con, according to authorities. The event's organizers bill it as Michigan's 18+ anthropomorphic appreciation convention.

Police said someone emailed an area news media outlet and claimed to have placed bombs around the motel.

Deputies evacuated the building as a precaution and deployed bomb-sniffing dogs to search the motel. No explosives were found and first-responders cleared the motel at about 12:30 p.m.

Officials also said a similar threat was made against the motel last year while it hosted the same convention.

Investigators said police in California have a suspect believed to have sent the threat in custody.

I was talking about this but nevermind. https://codes.findlaw.com/ca/penal-code/pen-sect-13665/ I was under the impression it applied to sharing names as well, it does not.
Thanks for sharing. It seems like a rather toothless law that prevents police from posting on social media for non-violent crimes, like drug possession or shoplifting.

A threat to mass murder a few thousand furries should certainly be a violent crime, but believe it or not, I don't think it's defined as a violent crime in California statutes. I did some digging and Section 11418 defines terroristic acts generally, but only upon completion of the crime.

Is this right? Are terroristic threats really not a violent crime in the state of California?

That law is pretty explicitly intended to prevent the release of information that could "cause racial prejudice" among the population. Sorta like how a few years back the idiots running BART asked the public for help identifying all the various goons who were trashing all the stations en masse, but released deliberately censored/pixelated footage (making it impossible to use for identification) and when pressed about it admitted -- far more diplomatically than I'm about to -- that they didn't want the public to see it was 100% niggers doing it because it went against the narrative.

There will be no enforcement of that law if the allegedly-protected person is white. It will only ever be (mercilessly) enforced when someone embarrasses a nigger, a muzzie or their handlers.

Is this right? Are terroristic threats really not a violent crime in the state of California?
lol ... they have to go "toothless" on their terrorism laws in California, because otherwise half of silicon valley's latte-sipping hipsters would be in prison for the endless threats they make against the rest of the US.

I've noticed this letter circulating in a few furry chats, indicating that the Sunset Beach Bonfire is canceled for this year. Their requests to rent beach space for the 2024 event were reportedly rejected.

The Sunset Beach Bonfire
April, 10th 2024

Dear Attendees,

On behalf of the event team of the Sunset Beach Bonfire Event, we wish to inform you that coordination and attempts at renewing permits for our event have not gone as we had wished. We shall be looking for a new home for the Sunset Beach Bonfire. We also regret to inform that this may cause delay in the event or if failure to find a new location, disbandment of the event completely. We wish to thank everyone for their continued support of our event and will continue to communicate with you as further details become available.

We also wish to make it aware per the State Park Police: Any attempt to organize an unauthorized or unpermitted event at Huntington or Bolsa Chica State Beaches, will result in the declaration of an unlawful assembly, and the attendees of the unlawful assembly may be subjected to police action and/or criminal prosecution.

Sincerely,
Ezriana Anmut
Event Host
The Sunset Beach Bonfire
For those who may not recall, this event was a large annual furry beach party held every August in Huntington Beach, CA. It gained notoriety last year when a staff member decided to deal with a previously banned individual by using a megaphone to strike them in the head. The entire incident was recorded. Given the nature of furries, support largely sided with the individual wielding the megaphone physically assaulting a man.

Anyways, while I do not have 100% confirmation on this announcement being real, there is some circumstantial evidence. Some random furries have been tweeting about how disappointed they are that the event is canceled this year:

I hadn't really thought of Skaardd in a while. After being assaulted with a bullhorn at the California beach meet, and shedding some deeply masucline tears, maybe he'd rethink his life and make some better choices.. I know, let's check his Twitter:

Mm, yeah.
Wait is this the one who like was on the ground that let out that high pitched scream after getting hit in the face?

Yes. It's really quite something. He acted like an ten year old child that had iPod taken away from him, and from the looks of things, he's preparing to be an hero.

That guy was probably going to take him to LVFC as it's the only furcon in Vegas for now.

How he would do it is a mystery. LVFC was 18+ last year, and 21+ this year

Ren, Skaard's boyfriend, was the one who was struck on the head.

This weekend is Furry Weekend Atlanta. Given the size of it, I expect to see something big kick up online in the next few days, so I recommend keeping an eye on Twitter.

Really, though, I wanted an excuse to post some highlights of the panels planned for this year. I went through the list and screenshotted a bunch that caught my attention. If you want to look for yourself, here's a direct link to 2024 schedule (archive).
