The Hell is a galaxy idea is cool as fuck, I like that a lot. Man they really actively tried to make their world feel as small as possible. I can understand your anger @didelphigina
Yeah, it's a real darn shame she had so many great ideas but didn't know how to properly handle them accordingly. I've never been this obsessed/dedicated whilst also being incredibly disappointed and irritated towards someone's worldbuilding before. Again, I love all the things she talked about, I just wished not only she SHOWED it more but actually EXPLAINING it instead of US, the AUDIENCE, having to go to her darn streams just to get some sprinkles of things in her world that should be shown in the SHOW, the EPISODES, not in a tweet and NOT in a livestream.

The seven rings of Hell are planets/rings. Not areas. They're entirely different regions of places that you have to do interplanetary travel to get to, which only makes Hazbin Hotel's premise even more conflicting and gives an even bigger justification to the sinners making fun of Charlie's unrealistic goals in the pilot and Adam criticizing Charlie's ridiculous idea in the official series.

That's actually how Dante Alighieri depicted the spheres of Heaven, as planets. Some have even theorized that his description of how Heaven works being an early description of beyond 3-dimensional space, a hypercube.

Whereas Dante depicted hell as simply a deep pit in the ground lined with nine terraces, each of them circles. One of the reasons why Inferno is better known than parts 2 and 3 of the Divine Comedy is because his description of hell is easier to comprehend than either Purgatory or Heaven.

Now I REALLY wonder if Vivzie actually read Dante and is just mangling it badly, but then I'd be giving her undue credit.

I mean Inferno is more remembered for having more vivid imagery and violent stuff compared to the later rings. Purgatory is just a mountain so it is actually easy to comprehend, but it doesn't have as much violent imagery as the Inferno.

For some reason, I'm thinking of the first Disgaea game, where hell (or the netherworld) also isn't a realm, but a planet or world, and there's other planets including Earth. They (demons) mock the humans for not knowing this. It was very popular with lolrandom girls in the early naughties, maybe Vivz was inspired by it?

Even the fanmade mugs on Etsy are less expensive than this, good Lord. And that shipping price, ugh. I always avoid paying for things whose shipping price is the same or even HIGHER than the subtotal.

If I wanna buy a Hazbin Hotel mug, I'd rather buy the knockoffs/fanmade ones on Etsy instead. At least they're not asking for high shipping prices.
These are the ugliest fucking mugs I've ever seen.

Why is Hell overpopulated to begin with? It’s literally HELL. Hell is infinite. It’s absolutely endless. There’s always room in it.

Viv. That famous line from Dawn of the Dead wasn’t meant to be literal.
That's what I'm saying. Plus, if you're gonna represent overpopulation, maybe visually represent it? Pentagram City being empty and barely having an actual crowd unless the plot demands it does not show overpopulation in the slightest. We all know this. But whatever, the show 180'd its plot faster than HB could ever achieve so why do I even bother complain. It being consistent with its """""""overpopulation"""""" is as consistent as the show actually dealing with redeeming Sinners.

One thing I often think about is how when Helluva Boss season 2 started getting a lot of criticism because people were starting to realize "Hey this sucks", the fanboys and girls did a massive pivot to "Actually the show isn't supposed to be funny" or "Sorry you guys didn't get South Park 2 but Helluva is a lot more mature than that." I can't find any examples but they were all on Twitter, of course. It's a weird cognitive dissonance when your only way to defend an unfunny comedy show is to say that it's being subversive by not being funny.

"Mature" as in justifying Stolas for cheating on his wife and effectively forgetting his daughter's existence (who he only remembers when he's being slammed in the face about it) for an imp he stared at for five seconds as a child. And then treating all of this as "brave" when he could easily overtake the woman as we've said previously. He's not a troubled owl who didndunuffin, he's an owl who's caused a lot more trouble than what Stella could ever do. Oh, no, Stella nearly slaps him! She's such an abuser but him tainting the Goetia image with his actions are completely justified! This isn't mature, this isn't maturely done in the slightest. This is just fujo-bait disguised as maturity!

"Mature" as in excessively swearing and solely relying on that swearing for the punchline.

"Mature" as in being as safe edgy as possible while absolutely sucking at it simultaneously.

"Mature" as in everyone crying and sobbing all the time.

"Mature" as in EVERYONE having some merit of daddy/relationship issues.

These people, I'm telling y'all. I want them to tell me ANYTHING that's mature about this show that isn't how "deep the characters are", which amount to nothing but this character complaining about their dad or that character complaining about their relationship or ex. Tell me ANYTHING that's mature about this show that's handled well that isn't secretly contrived.

I'd rather get a South Park 2 with some added charm and nicely written characters that aren't ham-fisted than whatever this is. But knowing Viv, even that would be tainted.

As someone who watched Steven universe and Rwby fandoms crumble in real time, once something starts dropping in quality you see fans gaslight themselves and move goalposts left and right, usually cycling between excuses.

Show stops being fun? "Well it's a dark mature show not it's fault you're too dumb to get it!"
Show fails at being dark? "Well it's a comedy cartoon for children i dont know what you expected!"
repeat

Helluva is 2 seasons in and people will tell you "It was never about them being hired hitmen". Not even rwby fans went in denial this fast.

But RWBY was never quality. It started off bad and then just kept getting worse. Why did you watch it, and why do you like it?

Theory that I have, born of a lack of sleep and too much reading about irl global fuckery.

Hell is not and has never been overpopulated. The exterminations are for a different reason. Maybe some sort of sacrifice, or maybe just to keep Adam from getting bored and putting "kick me" signs on the other angels, idk.

It took them one fucking season to get to step one. Eight episodes.

What baffles me the most is that they lost the plot in ONE FUCKING EPISODE. FLCL had 6 episodes (less than HH) and retained its plots, relations and through lines perfectly AND WAS ACTUALLY INTERESTING (but FLCL was written by people who knew what they were doing so maybe I’m being too harsh in Viv)

It's been the case a lot that a huge, zealotry-inducing show will have a fixed amount of animating energy at its launch that just depletes over time until the IP stops making money and ends or lingers on in a miserable state until the actors die. It happened to Spongebob, it arguably happened that way for the Simpsons, and it happened very obviously and quickly with My Little Pony. You can always look back and see the glaring cracks forming in the execution, but at the time it's so easy to keep riding the hype. No one wants to admit that it's all been downhill from Season 1 when they've gotten embedded in a fandom.

I didnt watch it at the start, i got in a bit late in v3-v4 out of curiosity, but Rwby wasnt one of internet's biggest punching bag it is today. Yeah it was always fake anime schlock but it was fun self aware schlock like Red VS blue. It was indie animation back when Rooster Teeth was respected (remember that?), had iconic waifu designs, a few genuinely good fight scenes, and """"potential"""" to be great.

After monty died RWBY lost all that AND started taking itself seriously, meaning the criticism got more valid while there was nothing worth defending, so the fanbase kept running on sunken cost fallacy for years. By v5 i basically started hate watching for fun.

I think it's a bit sad when a franchise gets SO bad the internet seems to collectively agree that "it was never good". Steven universe got it bad after the ending, and Stars vs Evil too (both deserved). I wonder if Helluva boss (or hazbin) will ever get to that point.

I mean yeah we discussed this multiple times.

The exterminations are happening because a retard believes in a conspiracy theory of Hell rising up against Heaven despite having resources to know otherwise.
