we’re already at that point. People are clowning the QRT’s of the official account by the thousands

Mind sharing a few examples or the OP here for me (us)? Hazbin is a weird case because unlike most shows it already had a dedicated hatedom before it officially aired. Helluva definitely fell off tho, i dont think there are many casual normies left.

It's been the case a lot that a huge, zealotry-inducing show will have a fixed amount of animating energy at its launch that just depletes over time until the IP stops making money and ends or lingers on in a miserable state until the actors die. It happened to Spongebob, it arguably happened that way for the Simpsons, and it happened very obviously and quickly with My Little Pony. You can always look back and see the glaring cracks forming in the execution, but at the time it's so easy to keep riding the hype. No one wants to admit that it's all been downhill from Season 1 when they've gotten embedded in a fandom.
Ah My Little Pony, a show that stopped being good 3 seasons in and then lingered on for another 6. I grew out of it when I realized I was demanding quality storytelling from a cartoon for preschoolers and knew it was time to move on. Equestria Girls is surprisingly better
These people, I'm telling y'all. I want them to tell me ANYTHING that's mature about this show that isn't how "deep the characters are", which amount to nothing but this character complaining about their dad or that character complaining about their relationship or ex. Tell me ANYTHING that's mature about this show that's handled well that isn't secretly contrived.
From what I've read it's the eyerolling "representation." The literal demons from hell they make to represent trannies and deaf kids are peak maturity.

I noticed it most recently on the “we’re not crying… YOURE CRYING” post (https://x.com/hazbinhotel/status/1748797459176767608?s=46) and there was a giant megathread of people hating the show (lie genuine, actual criticism) that I’ll have to find later. It’s like my Moby Dick because I just lost the link somewhere

Found it. More QRT than likes, imagine catching a ratio from your own post

Hah, yeah, I remember seeing that yesterday. The marketing team relies way too much on "how do you do fellow kids" posts but instead its "how do you do fellow "adults" teenagers?". For goodness sake, a lot of those posts felt like straight up 2010/facebook-esque posts with memes and jokes that've been left their destination.

Just, please, y'all, advertise the show normally. Stop being like the average corporate account trying to act all hip and cool. It only makes people's argument about the show being for literal teens even more justified. It makes it even more safe and babified than the show can already give itself.

Any screencaps/archives for those of us who don't want to sell our souls to Elon?
I'll assist since I have sold my soul and free will to Elon long ago. The current quote retweet to like ratio is 5.2k retweets compared to the 2.1k likes. There's no actual ratios of the post in terms of a quote retweet having more likes than the actual post, though.

((accidentally pressed enter, more screencaps will be added as I continue to edit it.))

Your average Hazbin Hotel enjoyer not liking it when the show gets critiqued in ways that's not under their approval. It's quite common to see on Twitter. Same with HB.

Was in the tweet that someone said was the "craziest quote tweet". What's so crazy about a reasonable critique of Vivziepop's backwards worldbuilding and understanding on how to make that world work, even if it's under her creative endeavors?

Never forget Viv had the Living Tombstone write, compose, perform, release, AND THEN REMIX a song about Angel Dust getting sexually assaulted
This is why I support the mafia-to-comedian fan aspect of Angel Dust over mafia-to-pornstar path. Trying to work with something as sensitive as Sexual Assault takes a lot of serious considerations and decisions to make it respectable and effective while also not being insensitive. Though, I'm pretty sure even if she did, people will still lose it and SA survivors will still have a turf war with each other on whether her depiction was 1000% accurate, as if people's experiences with being assaulted are a monolith and don't vary from people to people.

Don't we pretty much already have confirmation this is exactly the case? :story:

Also, give me clocks if this has already been posted, but Sargon orbiter channel The ArchCast put out a couple of videos a few months ago discussing the show's two misunderstood antagonists/designated villains and how their situation is basically a reflection of a serious writing flaw that's become common with almost all modern properties.

I'm getting a fuckton of recs on yt for that ridiculous Helluva Boss troon. He has the exact proportions as a real demoness and moves like one too, the only difference is the voice and height. I know how weird it is to expect realism in a horror fantasy cartoon, but still, if you want "representation", wouldn't you want it to be accurate?

If the troon joins the main cast, I'm out. His voice is grating as fuck. I can't remember how many cartoons/anime I've dropped over the years for bad VAs.

Oh wow, a lot of shit was discussed while I was gone...it's kind of pointless now to put any meaningful insight without sounding like a rambling retard.

Welp, The Full Moon episode is probably coming out this weekend, though I'm a bit surprise there hasn't been any gifs or a confirmed release date yet. People are already shitting their pants over the whole Stolitz drama that is going to come with it, so that will be fun to deal with. And, still no explanation on why the playbills people ordered haven't come in yet, so nothing new on that end.

Also, purple Angel Dust is the best Angel Dust and if you disagree, go fuck yourself.

Nah, nah, I'm hearing you out on this one. I love Angel Dust's old designs so much. I understand they had to tone it down for the sake of animation (even though a lot of the characters in the series are overdesigned to an extent so whatever the reason is, it be a lousy excuse). Their older designs popped in a way that I can't explain it properly. I can't believe we really missed out on Angel Dust having a skull-shaped "tattoo" on his chest fur.

Honestly, I miss Angel Dust's general premise. He was a lot more crass in the pilot and really felt like a character who was meant to be as annoying as possible while hiding his pretty unfortunate situation in the background. They done retconned that so hard in the official series. I mean, they were still doing it but I feel his crassness was toned down a lot. But that's still nothing compared to how hard they woobified Fizzarolli. 'Tis a shame, really.

The pilot may have its issues, but it definitely had energy to it. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for quick back-and-forth dialogue, and the show that we got did not deliver. I've already mentioned before that it felt like the VAs have a slower delivery. You could probably cut half the characters' lines and not lose any info. Or any of the comedy. Who knows? It might would have helped with the comedy.

"A little cooking left" implies it's not finished or you're changing something at the last time. Many subreddit comments on how Brandon said that episode was finished back in january so thats weird.

Anyways, what what are yall's theories for the episode?

People acting like this is such a big and emotional moment in these two's relationship, when they barely had a relationship to begin with. I'll never understand how people got invested into this...I mean I know why and how, but I still don't understand.

I do have a personal theory on why the episode is delayed due to some info I got from my professor (going to miss getting this kind of stuff once the quarter is over). I can't reveal a lot since it can't be known to the public, but I will say don't be surprised if Helluva Boss's 3rd season is on a streaming service.

What even is there to put a theory about? It's just gonna be a glorified Stoliz episode that'll get the fujoshi's bouncing all over the walls as if they consumed 20 gallons of Hershey bars.

But, to be serious for a moment, I suppose it's gonna be related to the crystal since even the recent merch advertisement a few days ago showed a clip of that imp servant giving Stolas the Asmodeus Crystal. Which I still do not get about since it was shown in S1E6 that he didn't even need the Grimoire to go to the human world, so that crystal should've been something he could've gave to Blitzo LONG flippin' ago, or was THAT another NON-CANON thing, Vivzie?

So now upon realizing that, you just kind of piece things together and realize how useless this whole conflict is. What's the point of the Asmodeus Crystal? Yeah it's basically similar to the Grimoire in terms of allowing the hellborn to access the human world, but like... if S1E6 is even still canon, why be so dramatic about this when you could've given it to him in the first place since... y'know, again....

1716610688502.png

YOU DIDN'T EVEN NEED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE IN THIS EXACT EPISODE!!! SO THIS WHOLE DRAMATIC ORDEAL WITH THE ASMODEUS CRYSTAL IS A WASTE OF TIME AND IS JUST NOTHING BUT A SLOPPY WAY TO ADD SOME B.E.T-ESQUE DRAMA TO THEIR ""RELATIONSHIP"". It's just gonna be miscommunication and misunderstanding galore and it'll be nothing but a sobbing tear fest and loud yelling. I'm still excited to see the new episode, though. Just... not gonna be surprised with the outcome of that episode.

Like what InJail said, these two barely had a relationship to begin with. Their relationship is purely a transactional one and there's nothing deep or emotional about it. Man, I wish they kept Stolas a villain. Him being an antagonist and manipulating Blitzo for his own pleasures and advantages would've been a lot more impactful than these transactional hookups that the show, or well, Vivzie, in that matter, keep gaslighting as something real and emotional.
