What is going through Nick's mind? This is what is going through Nicks mind:

"I'm not an addict. I may do lots of alcohol but I am not like an addict. I financially support my kids, I have money, a house and a career. I am not some unemployed guy trying to get his next fix by selling off the kids toys. I'm totally different. I choose to do drugs and alcohol completely at will and could stop at any time I wish to - so I am not an addict or like the others. Besides, I have a stream that pays. All this stuff with the Pastor reporting me was just bad timing - that coke was supposed to last me weeks, and I had just re-uped so it isn't fair to say I do copious amounts of coke like an addict. I also buy for several people, and in fact don't do that much at all. The scales weren't there to measure out stuff for sale, it was to moderate my own use. My kids were never in any danger and know not to do drugs and respect my responsible use. And the guns weren't even loaded, I only load them up when the dealer comes around or someone from the sex group who I am not familiar with - and that is just common sense. I would never endanger the kids and leave them alone in the home with a safe full of drugs tempting a thief, it was like I said, a recent re-up. It is true that friends and family have asked me to moderate when it comes to drugs, sex and alcohol, but this just proves the point that I am a smarter than average guy and they don't understand the actual level of control I actually have over these things. But I do understand why people compare me to addicts, but as you can clearly see, I am above that. And as for my "infidelity" it is not if it is consensual and my wife and I are simply above the caveman conservative mentality that dominates lesser types that can't be trusted with having multiple partners. We have agreed to this and that is what a marriage is really all about - agreements and following them, so if anything, I am more loyal than most are in marriage and am committed to having a working relationship that respects boundaries. I have never done anything my wife wasn't 100% behind. And as for the comments about my lawyer, Judge and Church, these views are commonly held by many people in my field and their taking it to heart only proves their guilt, and the fact that I called them out on it should be cause to recognize my ability to see things for what they really are".

I personally don't think he will recover. There's just too much stacked against him.
Lol the biggest stack is the one he put himself up yesterday, by suggesting that we are all wrong about everything.
Because now he can't move. All he had to do was to say "i fucked up, i'm off to get help, see ya sometime" and log off. That would be his foundation to recover.
There are things he can argue with - whether it was over 25 grams or just under. Whether children were at actual risk or they weren't. He can argue about all the he-said-she-said's, and all the things out of context and all the bullshit.
But the fact is - a large amount of drugs and paraphernalia was found in his filthy dirty house. That's not arguable.
That's the fact, he can never go back to: "what the fuck are you talking about guys, what drugs, I look GREAT, my liver numbers are GREAT, I am just a funny lawyer making silly jokes, but in reality I am also this very responsible and caring father and husband, for whom the family is the priority".
This whole facade is gonzo now.

What I cannot wrap my head around is why people look for this kind of thing to take control away from them.

It's why cannabis has traditionally been consumed in joints rather than edibles. When you smoke it, you're able to much more finely titrate the dose, allowing you to get just as high as you want, but not to consume so much that it becomes unpleasant.

I'd like to take this lull in activity to opine that Kayla is a worthless, piece of shit crack whore. We have recent media of her, chubby and rosy and healthy, singing in the choir of her church. She birthed 5 kids, ending six years ago. And instead of steering her man to love and appreciate and encourage her, she permitted her partner to addict them both to cocaine and possibly meth. She relished in her drug abuse.

It looks to me as though her attempts to try and preserve some sense of normalcy was what did for them. Most heavy end coke users aren't homeschooling their kids, dragging them along to services, having their pastor around to their crack den, where he was exposed to the fact that it was a drug sodden shithole.
Most heavy drug users would have cut those ties a long time before. Attempting to sustain those links has resulted in the problematic behaviour raising red flags. It's unusual to see the system working as it's supposed to work, but that appears to have been what's happened here.

Aha, a fellow cartel patron I see.

This was really the thing that brought about my cessation of illicit drug use (many many years ago now). Regardless of how much I enjoyed them, I couldn't, in good conscience, continue to support the finances of criminal gangs, on a local, national and supra-national level. The use of intoxicating substances is a morally neutral act -- something that's been a feature of all human societies throughout recorded history. But today, it's very difficult to use illicit drugs that aren't controlled by the most evil scumbags known to man. Clearly Rekieta had no problem at all diverting those superchat funds into the pockets of savage cartels and local gangbangers who make life utterly miserable for everybody around them.

Ethan Van Sciver says that he spoke to Rekieta who accidentally called him.
This video gets posted a lot and there has been some discussion. However, I don't see anyone saying something that I think is very important in this video. Apparently EVS was called from 2 different Minnesota numbers thinking they were both Rekieta. He calls the last one back and it is Nick confused why EvS is calling him and that he never called him. This is quite odd to me, if he calls him twice from different numbers, then is confused why EvS calls back and states he has never called him. Is this just brain damage or did he violate the conditions for his bail immediately when he came home?

Legal Mindset made an update video on the arrest.

*Edit. Pretty milquetoast video. Just reads through some documents and offers only a few comments about it. Seemingly doesn't want to disparage Nick.
Nearly everyone who loved or was friends with Nick tries to defend this shit. Just proves these lawyers don’t follow their own laws as lawyers

Also for all of Nick’s drunken bitching i tgink he still likes Jim

About the only brudge I think he might have burned truly is @Null and I’m not even sure that can’t be fixed with time.
He was blaming Jim for the state his life has gotten last stream. Can't get more truthful than a guy who just did a line of cocaine of his side hoes ass for 45 minutes off stream.

I asked myself before the very same and gave very charitable 20%.

Nick can't even accept he was wrong accusing Montegraph, was seething at people who didn't like his 'dear John' rant, etc.
If you wake up after 'dear John' and don't change, even just for self-preservation of your career, then you're done. You couldn't find a person farther away from being humbled.

It simply ends very badly. At best he simply continuous drunk streams to last loyal fans until his body gives up. At worst?
Personally, I'm certain his odds are at 0% because his wife is also a junkie. Cohabitating with a fellow drug abuser is exponentially worse and it will be an impossible task to get clean.

Nick, man, you're a smart guy. You have to do better.
He's not, and I really can't figure out what would give you that impression for the life of me.
He is wildly impulsive, has little to no ability to empathize with others, has no verbal filter, has no propensity for long-term planning or self-reflection, and livestreams his addiction to drugs and alcohol to an audience of thousands on a semi-regular basis (when he isn't too fucked up to stream).
These are not the characteristics of a "smart guy." These are the characteristics of Ethan Ralph.

lets say he kept this up until all his kids turned 18

Let's hope they never turn 18.

A lot of you keep pointing out how first time offenders typically don’t get hit too hard on sentencing, but I’d like to remind you all that most first time offenders don’t have a history of going live and calling the presiding judge a cunt in front of thousands of people, likely including some of her peers. If the details around the incident as we know them are accurate, he’s going to be doing at least some time.
