Jesus christ the top video is such a whiny fuck about this, "Noooooooooo if you dox them you are just as bad!!!!!"; attn. guy with no wrist strength outside jerking off to fempyro porn, learn from Postal 2 and realize signing a petition doesn't do shit, start kicking and running around with a machete and watch the results roll in.

I wouldn't really care to cheat in this game if it made some reddit tranny seethe about their pointless digital hats or whatever TF2 players complain about now.

As much as I'd like to see the problems plaguing modern tf2 dealt with, don't games like CS and DotA to an extent also have issues with cheaters and bots? It's been a pretty hot topic recently in even those games from what I've heard here and there. If even CS is having these issues, with as much money that it makes, I doubt telling Valve "WE WANT TF2 FIXED, CMON" is going to do anything. Like they'll stop trying to fix the current issues plaguing their huge money makers to fix their game from 2007 that they haven't completely abandoned yet because somehow it still makes some money off of some really dedicated people who love throwing money at.... what do they even add to tf2 anymore? More ill fitting cosmetics and then some gun skins that literally nobody cares about?

What I find kinda wild is how often these tf2 youtubers talk about how much they love the game and just want a place to play it unmolested, or the way they think is the best, but they just need valve to come do it for them. Can't these retards host their own dedicated servers? I've hosted dedicated servers for many other games, including source games. You can config the game into pretty much anything you want, it's really not that hard. Maybe the bots and cheaters are actually so aggressive and massive in presence that even a dedicated server will get fucked with by them - and if so, then fair enough - but if not, it's pretty fucking stupid to see the guys with like 150k subscribers who can get like 400k views on a video be like "Nothing I could possibly do about this. We need valve to do something"

Call me a faggot but I can confirm CS2 has the same issues. I love using hacks and going into comp matches and forcing them to be games of hide and go seek. Motherfuckers seethe over being deranked so hard its crazy.

I don't see old source game communities complaining about not having official dedicated servers for their old ass games. They're playing on community servers just fine. Except for TF2.
They should be greatful that their community servers still got jannies to ban cheaters.
It's also not infested by Chinese as well unlike CS:S and L4D2.

The problem with TF2 community servers is that there's no proper alternative to Casual. People will tell you to play community servers to get away from the cheater bots, and yet all that remains is shitty 24/7 Skial servers and Shitopia.

Despite how large the TF2 "fandom" is and the fact that there are around 30k real players regularly playing the game, no one has bothered to host a group of purely vanilla community servers with no bullshit (no class limits, no disabling random crits/spread, no global moderation, etc); so the majority of the playerbase sticks with Casual.

Also, blame MYM for unnecessarily replacing Quickplay with it's still god-awful matchmaking system in 2016, which is the entire reason TF2 has been in the state that it's in for nearly 8 years at this point.

A Team Fortress 2 Youtuber went to a U.S. military base and interviewed soldiers about the game for some reason.

Good use of time and certainly worth it.

This FixTF2 shit is retarded, we all know that, but what is it with these people not accepting a nearly two decade old game is in its final breaths? Why can't they let it go? I had fun with it as a kid, I watched Kitty0706 Gmod videos when they got uploaded, I loved all of it, but I stopped in 2015 and have never gone back.

It's dead. Let it go. Enjoy the time you had and stop trying to let this near-corpse dance for what little fun is left. I understand a lot of them are Valve fans, troons and autists all, but it's done. GabeN and the gang moved on. You should too.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Soldiers rocket-jumping off the bridge of 2Fort. I watched stickies glow in the dark near the Dustbowl gates. All those moments will be lost in time, like… tears in rain. Time to kill bind."

I feel strongly valve has gone full corporate and only money will get them focused on TF2 again. Hearing all the leaks from the employees about how new game ideas devs were pitching got shot down by higher ups because they only want games that will make them billions instead of millions shows "old valve" is long gone. They're now just as bad as your typical run-of-the-mill greedy modern video game corporation.

Vanilla servers were desperately needed but I also feel shuffling the vast majority of players away from community servers almost completely killed off the modding scene along with many community servers.

In my opinion valve should have just made official vanilla TF2 servers and put them in the servers tab along with the community ran servers. Players would still see all the community servers and know that they exist while still having the option to play on official vanilla servers

On a side note what was the 64 bit stuff all about? I don't understand the significance of it because I'm a retarded tech illiterate boomer. Is it just a technical upgrade or does it indicate they might have future plans for TF2 if they're updating the core code?

The TL DR of it is that it runs a little smoother and quicker because of memory. Though this is a 2007 source game were talking about so it still plays like shit anyways.

The thing is that's actually exactly how it used to work, there were official valve servers that were just vanilla experiences. They deliberately removed that to add matchmaking because overwatch had matchmaking.

It's not indicative of any major future updates, it just means better performance and more usable ram, going from 4gb of usable ram to 64bit's 16 million tb. I believe memory limitations was probably the reason for the change, as they were likely going to get dangerously close to the 32bit memory limit with the amount of skin and cosmetic textures you could have loaded at the rate they keep adding them. There's also vscript which lets mappers write code which could be terrible and memory hungry.

Modern TF2 niggas will cry "Save TF2, Save tf2!!" but then they will soy clap when they see thoes 'WAcKy Me Me coSmeTiC' which are so horrendous. For that sole reason, im not optimistic about the future of the game or even the savetf2 or fixtf2 or whatever the fuck its called.
don't forget about cosmetics with paint patterns that make it nearly impossible to figure out on which team you're on
