Top surgery is relatively minor in terms of difficulty to perform, complications, etc. To say nothing of the psychological damage it can cause later down the road. Being a "necessary" procedure and not a cosmetic one means these butchers are jumping for a chance to get that payday from insurance companies. Even women that regret it still can get pregnant or enjoy normal sexual function which is more than the FTM troons can say after few years of their drugs. There is a lot of pressure on these girls to get the surgery from all sides. It's sold as some kind of miracle process that will "fix" them. And being young impressionable girls, they believe it.
There's no way that's real. Not only is the physical transition impossible but the features don't match. The cleft chin is gone, the nose shrunk in size, and unless he's wearing contacts the eye color is difference.
Do they ban cotton? I looked into linen, actual flax-derived linen, and that stuff is super expensive. It would be hard to imagine having to deal with sourcing linen clothes because cotton was not available in the time/locale.

A few years back there was this weird thing among the tranny males to get a picture of a random man they deemed ugly and use it as their "pre HRT" photo, to pretend they improved with estrogen or some shit. They would also heavily edit their own pictures to look more female-ish, which is what I think is the case here. Basically he is just coping by thinking "lol I might be a faggot tranny but at least I'm not this ugly 60 year old random man I found online"
I was a attending when I was less than 10yo, so my dad made all my clothes for me, so I'd have to ask him, but I remember being scratched to fuck by my shifts so I doubt they were cotton. I was playing the lowest-of-the-low travelling player-type character so most of the outer garments were some sort of sackcloth, I think. Next time I talk to him I'll ask, he might even have some of the reams of instructional paperwork he had to use each year for the design. We stopped going partly because he said it was such a ball-ache to have to remake the entire outfit every year even if the year we were reenacting was close to the previous one as I was outgrowing my costume every damn time. I remember his ex-gf had to take a behind the scenes role cos she had arse-length dreadlocks full of modern beads and wasn't up for cutting them off. They were pretty strict so only the people playing nobility got to wear fabrics that didn't scratch half your skin off.

Gender-Affirming music/songs/artists for GenX MTFs?
General Question
Context: I’m 50 mtf and never paid much attention to the popular music of our youth, except for musicals showtunes and a bit of oldies (from our parents’ youth). So my starting palette is pretty bare.
I’m trying to find songs & artists that were gender-progressive for their time. Since I hatched in Feb this year, my personal “anthem” has been Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All”. The lyrics hit me exactly where I needed them right when I needed them.
So I’m looking for music or artists that sort of fit the era of music we grew up with, that speak to the metaphor of, or the actual, trans-experience. Or even something that wasn’t overtly doing so, just music or artists that gave you that “positive vibe” about your authentic self.
