Honestly for a first time offender they probably won't throw the book at him, they'll offer a deal with minimum prison time because they don't want the costs with housing them and they don't want to fuck up the kids anymore then already. If things go badly for Balldo it'll probably be 10 years with early release so 5-7 years. Best case is no prison time but with a laundry list of requirements for probation.
