Assuming that's true, it isn't even close to what is being discussed in this thread. A swinging coked up whore who wasn't being abused allowed her kids to starve and somehow it's not her fault at all and she's a victim?
My bad. I had thought we were also discussing Ralph's victim too, who was separated from her family all the way in Mexico. In that case, I doubt she had many options. When it comes to Kayla, by Aaron's reports, SHE was the abuser of Nick more than he was abusive towards her and I don't think she'd qualify for any resources regardless of the children.

In a majority of western countries, women have a plethora of support that's easy to access. Just look at the NHS website in the UK, about domestic abuse and the first bit of advice is for women to access the site without being tracked. Women have no end of resources to get away from abusive situations, violent or not.
I would cut some slack to women who get beaten up to the point of retardation. I mean think of the Gunt - you can't tell me he didn't literally lose IQ after Portugal, and by God, there were not that many points to begin with. Your brain can just stop working properly if you get hit in the head, and then you don't know how to navigate the situation anymore. I also think that if your spouse is a cop, and is abusive - things can get absolutely nasty and you can get absolutely fucked over, cause cops always protect each other.

But Kayla was simply too addicted to even realize what's going on - and that's on her. If the only thing that was stopping her from leaving was the fact she would lose financial stability - that's fucked up. It's showing your children that what really matters in life is money and status, and to hell with love and safety and self-respect. And it's also very likely that she didn't want to leave anyway, maybe she was absolutely happy with the setup.
Nick and Kayla deserved each other. Children deserved so much better than this.

The truth is that we don't know the sordid details. Aaron is an unreliable narrator, so I don't take everything he's said as gospel. It seems like the core of it is true at least. That said, according to him Kayla is the violent and physically abusive one. She'd do things like pick books specifically about marriage to throw at Nick while he would stick to saying things he knew would cut he to the bone. IIRC she's also the one who suggested opening up the marriage according to him. It doesn't paint the picture of an innocent waif at the mercy of her abusive husband. It sounds like they were abusive to each other which is pretty classic in my entirely anecdotal experience.

Kayla was involved with the church. She has family close. She was a part of the home schooling group. She was not forcefully isolated in house as far as we know. Her husband regularly stayed up until all hours of the night drinking and stayed passed out until who knows when. Instead of leaving it seems like she decided to engage in a life of sexual degeneracy and drug use with her toxic partner to the point where where she was arrested and charged with child neglect.
I agree with all that. My thoughts on this have been from the perspective of how 'easy' it would be to walk away from someone like Nick. I don't think Kayla wanted to and their codependence on eachother far outweighed the loyalty that they both should have had to the children first and foremost. I do also stand by the fact that absolute subservience by one party in a relationship means there is no mutual safeguard to check the other if something toxic starts going on.

I don't think they'll televise a CPS hearing, it involves minors but IANAL I know fuck all about the legal system.

@AnOminous would a CPS hearing be televised and open for the public to view?
Multiple states do the children are blurred out if on screen. They seem to be kept up for a week or two but other youtubes find the high profile ones to archive.

Go on then, we might as well continue this crash course in drug awareness. What’s a speedball and how is it made?

Heroin and cocaine.
Its normally injected though.

Not necessarily heroin and coke although it's the most common combination. The rule is a stimulant (uppers; coke or speed/amphetamines) and a depressant (downers; heroin, morphine). You can inject it but you can also snort it.

Balldo is indefensible without lowering your standard of existence.
Rekieta ≠ Civilization
Reject humanity, return to monkee Balldonkey

The “decent thing” would have been showing a basic amount of concern for the Rekieta children, getting an attorney and negotiating immunity for testifying against the Rekietas.

Again: If we believe that things weren’t nearly as bad months ago, when he was still there… (And it’s not an unreasonable assumption considering that his pastor didn’t go to the police until very recently.) What exactly would you have Aaron go to the police and say?

“My crystal ball predicts that these kids may be neglected in a few months?”

Or maybe..

“The kids are mostly on their iPads all the time!”

Being a bad parent isn’t a crime.

It’s a crime when it rises to neglect, and he wasn’t there at that point. There’s also dozens of people who Aaron could reasonably expect to report things, if it got really bad. His primary responsibility is to HIS kids.

And regarding these “He should have reported it to CPS!” Takes.

It’s like most of you niggers don’t understand how thoroughly fucked the whole system is.

BEST case scenario, you remove the kids, traumatize them in the process, and they are slightly better off. Maybe.

Worst case scenario? You traumatize the kids and they go from being somewhat neglected to stuck in a system where they get sexually abused, introduced to drugs and criminal behavior.

Calling CPS on someone should be the absolutely last call.

I have mostly Daniel Defense, it’s probably just the barrier of entry (price and waitlist) that interests me. It’s 50% more than most of my collection and I really want to know why. It’s been a while and I haven’t bought it yet, I may just like having a thing to want. It’s on my wishlist with latest iteration of the Welrod.
If that was made by ANYONE else other than B&T it would be $500 and I would have one...

Edit: Maybe Beretta USA will be awesome and license that for Beretta production just like the B&T Tec 9 redesign, too.

Nobody gives a fuck what that retard thinks.
He's Dax with a fucking BBC News accent.
His stream on the Rackets arrest was just gloating that he got there first and had a bunch of seething that the KC got props for covering the spiral. "Oh why weren't you covering it all the time PPP? Where were you?" Where were you guntwinson? Oh right, slamming meth with Elaine. Stfu

On Aaron's stream today while reading the warrant he fully admitted he was at fault for not noticing and reporting the neglect. It's been going on since he was involved.

You make some great points while I agree with you on almost everything I'm not going to get into a shit fling with you over minor disagreements. You've changed my mind a little on how I'm reading the situation.
I still dislike Aaron for the turbofaggotry though.

Word. In neutral on the guy. Not a hero, and he’s fortunately not trying to paint himself as one.

Just a guy who made some bad choices, made one good choice, and who will hopefully make more good calls than bad calls in the future.
