We like to imagine the entire stream and body cam being submitted as evidence but that’s only in the Supreme Court of the Land: Kiwifarms.

The reality with courts is that discovery reveals averythang to both parties and their lawyers and lots of evidence gets struck as being “an aside” or “not pertinent” or “prejudicial”.

The only way the entire stream gets to the jury is if the dumbfuck actually seriously fights the warrant itself … wait a fucking minute …

The issue that makes it clear it is not bs is the cops watched a bunch of streams and outright stated ‘there is a clear difference between now and 6 months ago’ and even then it was only the stream where it was actively clear he was on coke that they pulled the trigger.

They practically said ‘people were saying a load of stuff but that’s not really that important, it was clearly seeing coke on stream’

I think there's a huge difference if an expert is wrong in the affidavit but it still leads to an arrest, and if the expert is dead on the money leading to an arrest, the first can be disputed easily while the second cannot, regardless of how each expert got to their conclusions. You're right that these cops did their homework.

I used to have a neighbour who was an alcoholic and every time after some blowout or when the police picked her up somewhere, she and her husband would go through this ritual of throwing away all the alcohol in the house. The husband even went as far as talking to the local liquor stores and grocery stores to try to make sure she couldn't buy alcohol anymore. However, regardless of what they did, within a week or at most a month she would find alcohol somewhere and start all over again.
Addiction is a terrible thing and an addict can take the first steps to quitting many times, however most times they will not remain sober. In the case of Rekieta, it can certainly be possible he threw away most of his alcohol, however I doubt he will remain sober. The fact that they both appear to be addicted also will make it much more difficult to remain sober, as once one of them relapses (and they likely will) this will likely make the other person relapse as well, which then makes it more difficult again for either of them to stop.
