Probably late (thread is faster than Crackets' heart rate) but damn, NINE officers with bodycams. $3k makes more sense with that confirmed.

They wanted all the bases covered when serving a warrant on unhinged coke head lawyer that has kids in the house.

I think 80% was you need to make sure you do everything by the book and go the extra miles because a lawyer will try to pick apart the warrant, LEO behavior and find any missteps. The 20% was he actually is drunk and coked up to his eyeballs and has guns in the house. They probably worried that Nick’s paranoia and fear, plus drug use, could make him view an arrest as the end of the world and get violent or suicidal. After watching his appeal stream they figured anything was possible with a guy that fucked up.

It was an interesting time and method to serve it. They usually like to do drug warrants at 5 am when they can catch perps in bed and off guard. They waited till the house was awake, hopefully some kids off to school, and Nick left the house.

I wondered if there was a kid in the car with Nick. It wasn’t mentioned if there was, but I wondered where he was off to in the AM. According to Nick his morning were consumed with driving five kids all over the place, so I figured a morning trip out would have involved at least one child in the car. Maybe he was going to get breakfast at McDonalds for some of the kids after they begged and pleaded enough.

Nick has claimed on stream that his parents were in Minnesota at least twice recently. On his April 16th stream he says his "dad was hanging out here the other day". On his May 15th stream he says that his mother was watching the children on Mother's Day.

This is the time of year people with money bail out of Florida, so they'll be sticking around. Don't know how well the two families get along, but things will get done for the sake of the kids, and to try and minimize damage to the Rekieta name.

Pretty sure the police paperwork and the Fox News article clued them in it was time to go boots on the ground.
