It doesn't matter if some kids get a nanny to feed wash and clothe them, or that a stay at home parent does it or that they actually educated the kids on how to do it themselves. You can argue all day that the kids should have been told how to care for themselves and you can bring examples of yourselves as being children capable of that. At the end of the day all that matters is that the children were abused.
And another point even if the children knew how to take care of themselves and wanted to. It's a lot harder to do laundry and cooking when dad is sperging out every 5 minutes, swearing like a sailor and there are weird sounds coming from mommy and the new nanny out of the bedroom.
