Release the archives and just let it die already. Last time I checked, ED couldn't even host the Tarrant video on his page because the host site wouldn't let them, by that point why even bother? If the last few pages are anything to go by, there is nothing worth salvaging within the remaining "community" anyways.

There is some good articles on the site, plus some history that barely anyone recorded or bothers remembering anymore. It's a time capsule worth preserving.

Null said that he would release everything he has on the site for safekeeping if he ever throws in the towel, I don't see why it should be any different for ED when they clearly can't run the site anymore. Even if they will come back, it will be with little to no new good content and probably a lot of missing images, might as well quit while you're ahead.

not everything that was written down is relevant or interesting
the fact is they do not want those records to exist because they do not like the ideas inside
on top of that there are some older internet groups whose data was left unarchived which is a shame

and what is not relevant now could be later
