Checking in on r/TF2 again, the discourse over giving other Valve games negative reviews in order to help the cause of #FixTF2 continues.

Olympic levels of pathetic here: is it sadder to go around leaving negative reviews on everything for a dead game, or thinking that your favorite games Steam review score is something that needs to be defended?
Note that defending the multi-billion corporation is universally seen as embarrassing, so no entries for that.

In other news, some bots have started advertising child porn sites for some reason.
Except that's not true, how retarded do you have to be to take the word of these people as gospel? You didn't even bothered to find the original source, they literally posted it in the comments of the Reddit thread, it took me less than a minute to figure this out.

If I had a Nickle for everytime a TF2 player lied about people sharing Child Porn in game in a attempt to force Valve into removing something they didn't like, I'd have two Nickles.

What a strange situation, so it's not connected to bots but the original person who posted the screenshot said the guy that sent the message was cheating and may or may not of been a bot. I'm sorry if it seems I jumped the gun on reporting the information but after the Zeesastrous and Dashie debacles it's hard not to expect the absurd.

Kek, didn't expect bots advertising CP as the next step in the plan to save TF2. I guess it makes sense, after the fake CP spray hysteria.

TF2 community is so retarded sometimes (when i think about it, most of the times frankly). They buy in to anything, like, i remember when the source code got leaked every redditor was crying not to play casual because there was Remote Control Exploit, and people bought in to that with no evidence of it being real besides some fake ass video.

damn gotta eat crow here and call myself a double retard for believing that these fuckers would be honest about this shit, and i was the one that linked the post that talked about that tranny modder lying his ass off about this shit as well.

Valve of today is DOTA2's The International

And Valve is even cutting back on The International's main selling point, its prize pool. It went from $40 million in 2021, to $18.9 million in 2022, and $3.4 million in 2023. Its as if they're trying tank the prize pool on purpose, so that they can eventually stop doing TIs, and make DOTA 2's E-Sports scene purely third-party.

will require a bunch of “treadmill” work, something that the company discourages.
I agree with your entire statement, but I do dislike how Valve treats "treadmill" work. All work upkeeping a game is treadmill work. It's pretty much impossible to solve cheaters. You're just meant to delay them, and most games have. You're meant to take away cheats from rage hackers and bot hosters that don't know what the fuck they're doing, and only leave the nerdy programmers who know how to bypass anti-cheat. But like you said, Valve has no monetary gain from fixing TF2. Most new players are broke high school teens who wouldn't buy many cases, and it'll take too long for them to become adults and actually buy skins. I get why they don't wanna make something extremely invasive (e.g Valorant) however the only reason why Valorant got popular by copying CS and making it worse is because Valve didn't fix CS:GO and now CS:2. I get that they're a small company, but it seems like they've been working on too much stuff all at the same time.

I also don't get why we're entitled to Valve fixing this though. "Valve still supports it with cosmetics!" New cosmetics are ripped from the Steam Workshop, so no. I wonder when Valve rightfully discontinues official servers these people will start to cry after shouting at them to either fix an issue that Valve doesn't care about, or shut down the game.

Probably a lot more, everyone on both sides are insane, retarded and will literally say the most outlandish shit to ruin the other side.

I feel vindicated, I called that shit out and was correct but everyone sperged out and spread the news of CSGO and TF2 being unsafe like wildfire, that's why you have to take everything these people say with a grain of salt and do your own research. Realistically there's probably someone out there spamming links to CP but to correlate it with the botting problem and by extension cheaters is beyond disingenuous.
damn gotta eat crow here and call myself a double retard
To be fair from look at the person on Twitter's posts they seem underaged, so he, more than likely, truly believed it was CP till he went back and clicked on it, I'm betting that it was just some kind of IP logger which was being spammed but we will never know.

New shounic vid further covering why most of the potential solutions for the bot crisis wouldn't work or are unsustainable
I can't be the only one who thinks he's talking out of his ass about a subject he doesn't really have any information on? He's also terrible at presenting his thoughts.

Valve has a secret blacklist of files
The blacklist isn't being kept up to date
But the files are private, we cannot know if this is actually the case, besides he doesn't mention the email they have which is actively used to collect cheat samples and the form they had which was dedicated for user's who want to send in cheat files they've found, we also don't know the in house process they use to detect these files and who does this process. For all we know they could actually be updating their database with the files being sent to them but something is stopping these detection's from actively occurring.
Last time I checked it was also pretty easy to bypass the version of VAC they use for TF2 just by adding code within a cheat and compiling it, maybe most of these cheats have a way to change itself in such a way that it can't be detected, I mean you quite literally get your own launcher (last time I checked) when you purchase and download LMAOBOX.

So VAC isn't going to get updated, yet they still HAVE to do something
He's probably talking about the secret blacklist, if he's actually talking about VAC then he's retarded. They could do some sort of VAC overhaul where it's updated to the version they used in CSGO, but that would probably require the implementation of trust factor, overwatch, the AI shit they have, etc. But that's a fairly big undertaking especially for the very few people they have actively working on the game, my best guess is that it would require people to work on the 2007 Source Engine version they are using for the game but also people who worked at Valve on the anticheat and know what they are doing which means contracting people. I think they are actively working towards something like this considering the update to 64bit.

It's almost impossible to fix with the usual detection methods [talking about stealth bots]
This is retarded and he's wrong, there's many ways you could detect this.

Most MMOs suffer from this type of botting problem and it exists in CS as well
The CS bots he's talking about quite literally stand there doing nothing, also the botters weren't there for cases, they sell level 2 accounts in bulk to people who want to spin bot in competitive, this is literally an arugment for what he doesn't want happening, yet he doesn't present any solutions.

where do you get the cat photo examples to feed the AI on
CSGO? The game that has had overwatch since 2015 and VACnet running AI models to figure out if a person is cheating or not? Sure this might bring in false positives but that's why they would have to build a system just like CS has to prevent that from occouring.

It's results can't be relied upon
Retard, it can be relied upon along with other checks to ensure that there aren't any false positives, that's why people didn't spinbot every single match in CSGO, people knew that if they did then their account would get flagged.

I refuse to go any further, this could have been an 8 minute video but he's managed to strech it out to 23 minutes.

i can add on his paid tf2 argumentation, and it's dogshit really, he implies that there's a chance of this game having any type of growth to begin with when people stopped being amused by the funny game with hats and memes a long-ass time ago.
the real issue that he omitted is that the bot accounts if they aren't socks, are bought in bulk from third-party sites, or they are simply stolen from players through methods like phishing, if he phrased it like this maybe he'd have had a better argument about the price tag.

TF2 was the first game I got on my steam account and I never really delved into the community at the time. Maybe because I didn’t want to care. But I had a genuniely good time going onto the community servers and valve servers later on, maybe getting a few kills per life and dying a lot more. What really makes me MATI about the community, at least from what I learned, is that some, or many, want some kind of established way of playing the game. Like, there’s no specific way to play the game and I think that’s what I want to believe.

I know the game is dead in the water and the community NOW is in this constant cycle of complaining and eating itself alive because of this. But I just wanted to vent about it because I once enjoyed this game, and it sucks to see something you love turn into a shell of itself.

And Valve is even cutting back on The International's main selling point, its prize pool. It went from $40 million in 2021, to $18.9 million in 2022, and $3.4 million in 2023. I get the feeling that Valve wants to transition into being a technology company rather than just a game dev studio. Whatever games they do make in the future will probably just be proofs of concept for their new gadgets like Alyx or Aperture Desk Job

Delfy is back with yet another hot take of a video on #fixtf2. Let's skip over the fact he's spreading the disinformation about cp spam and look at this:

LMAO he's advertising shady gambling websites and blatantly grifting off #fixtf2. And at the end he added sad music to play on emotions, it's like a parody. The faggots in comments eat it up like usual. He's trying to grift off it while he can before he has to make far-fetched "exploit" videos again on the level of calling using a dispenser an infinite health exploit.

twice as bad when 90% of the people that watch his dogshit content are mostly illiterate children, but still not shocking considering that this is the same faggot that shat on the test period of snowplow (and spat at the map maker when he asked him to not do this shit) for views.

Personally I don't really care about him being a cunt, but for him to act dishonest like this with no one calling him out now is just ridiculous. These people are not kids, just zoomer retards who won't call you out on anything unless they deem you an acceptable target for being an -ist or -phobe. See Zesty Jesus. Delfy steals exploits from smaller creators, publishes them to his big audience and makes everyone aware of them arguably leaving the game worse off by making every kid from his 400k audience mimic him. If an exploit is about pl_borneo, expect that map to be unplayable for the next week.

He used to get a lot of shit for it back in the day, so he started coping by saying he's actually helping to get the exploits fixed by shining a light on them. Followed by making videos congratulating Valve on fixes to said exploits like this:
1717962209118.png
Now he latched onto #fixtf2 with the same attitude. If he could do anything else he would move on, but he is stuck being the "exploit guy" trying to milk the game as much as he can.

I'm going through my collection of Valve games and there is FixTF2 reviews in other games. But the amount is negligible at best.
