Almost all of the so-called gaming journalists were the failed rejects that couldn't even land jobs at the shittier versions of Buzzfeed or the Huffington Post and had to settle for a job that they absolutely loathed and had not hope of escaping from. They had all imagined themselves having careers writing hard hitting cultural critiques that would get them invited to swanky parties. Instead they had to write about video games that they had barely any interest in for an audience that they vehemently despised all while becoming increasingly irrelevant.

Gamergate was for many a first chance to do something they thought was worthy of their "talent" and perhaps a ticket to a better job on top of that. This is just them reminiscing of the one time that they weren't completely miserable in their job. If they had a better option, they would have taken it. If they weren't parts of giant media conglomerates where their lack of profitability barely stands out amid all of the other magazines, websites, and blogs that are probably doing even worse, they'd have all been laid off years ago.

It doesn't really matter if they did get a chance to work somewhere more respectable than games media. Just Sessler they're all miserable people who will never be happy.

When LPs began I was wondering why game journos didn't jump into that given that they already had followers, a leg up compared to an average unknown gamer. Its pretty clear why now knowing they suck at games and practically hate them, most of their articles was just writing down what's on the press kit.

No, regular photo porn. Chelsea at least had a professional photographer employed by or contracted with a site to do her shoot, which entails some standards and practices(which were lightly violated according to the photographer's recollection of events). Photos were taken, content was hosted, and both photographer and subject were paid.

Was wondering if someone else got this randomly on their recommendations and here we are.

Honestly, pretty good summary of Zoe and at least her part in Gamergate. Even manages to cover the parts I think most overlook like Crash Override Network and, hell, Ryulong gets a segment where he's dunked on.

Hard to really say whether or not it's effective as I don't think people like us who have followed Zoe for years are the target audience.
