Yeah, he can't even be bothered to make spaghettios when his kids are hungry. There's no way he makes a document like this and not have it immediately noticed as a forgery.

Nick for sure didn't leak this. He wouldn't purposefully put out docs that make it seem like his children for sure accessed drugs. If he had a career left to cling onto, putting it out there that your kids got high because of you're druggy quadruple is how you burn that to the ground

I hope this is fake because imagining a kid with cocaine is sickening, but in either case someone really has it out for Nick. If it's real, someone involved really fucking hates Nick or Kayla because documents related to them keep getting leaked and they're fine with breaking the law to make it happen. If it's fake, they enraged someone enough to fake something like this to a degree that another lawyer isn't willing to write it off and who knows what else they're willing to do. Neither scenario bodes well for Nick

If this document is real, Balldo's decision to fight the case through violation of due process makes more sense. A lush plea deal doesn't make child custody problems go away, if the plea deal even comes at all. Throwing out the case on due process grounds is the only way to retain custody of his children.

I don't think CPS is a branch of the criminal justice system. If the tests are correct, it really doesn't matter if Nick is convicted. The environment is still unsafe.

I think they're arguing that Nick might have leaked it "anonymously" to try to then argue that his right of due process has been violated and thus have the case tossed out, even though it does make him look even shittier like you said. It'd be some weird 5D chess especially if it's easy to see who handled the documents or see whoever visited the courthouse to look at them, assuming the OP's story isn't bullshit about anyone being able to look at these documents in person.

As someone who (granted it was over 20 years ago) made a living by accessing court records from a public terminal and printing them out, let me tell you, its 100% plausible to me that this person did exactly as they said they did. Went in and got something they shouldn't have had access to. Because clerks fuck up, all the time. Its just a thing that happens. Seems to be happening more now that things are more digital. Check the wrong box or pick the wrong pull down option and something that was supposed to be sealed is open to the whole world until it gets discovered unsecured.

I’m always skeptical of things like this being real. Many people have a vested interested in discrediting KF, and would try to do something like this in an effort to make the site look dumb when it turns out to be fake.

That said. If this is real, could this unauthorized public release impact the court case? Some type of misconduct by the court that could be bad for prosecutors? I have no idea. Law Kiwis please respond.

No. Fraud and forgery generally have to have an element of trying defraud someone. Just making a fake document for the lulz that only defames the person making it won't be something they could go after him for unless he were to then try and use that very document in a court proceeding. I can make a fake doctorate diploma in MS Word and put it on my wall showing off my Doctor of Big Penis degree, but unless I try to pass myself off as a physician or something my "forged" document is just a novelty item.
