I am a breast cancer survivor. My ovaries were removed because I also had such a high risk of cancer there. So I am a twofer.

When I was going through treatment it seemed every second ad had tits on display (the other ads seemed to be for life insurance). The reminders of my mutilation, ugliness and possible death were a bit grim, but I got over it, as I did the actual pain. Fuck this guy for daring to use my suffering and that of other breast cancer patients as his emotional support stuffie. He’s decided to treat his mental illness by voluntarily going through a fraction of the shit I and other women had no option but to suffer, and then tries to pretend our problems are the same. Fuck him.

Thank fuck I have not suffered FGM but jesus that’s 100 times worse. To be a child betrayed by the people you think love you, and mutilated with a bit of a broken Coca Cola bottle is a whole new level of horror.

the public reaction to i saw the tv glow is like a perfect case study into how cis people take up queer spaces and unknowingly mock and enjoy trans suffering. sitting in the theater, i had a pit in my stomach the entire time. so many times, i would tear up and then someone else in the theater would laugh. and i wouldn’t cry because how would they look at me when the lights came back on? because they don’t see it. they don’t see the pain. they think it’s funny. i left the theater completely silent, not saying a word to my boyfriend and he didn’t say a word to me until partway into the drive home. the people around us immediately got to picking it apart, explaining what it all meant to each other, dumbing it down, making theories. cis people see the the movie, just like transness, as something to debate. a conversation. something to dissect because it makes them uncomfortable if they don’t understand it in their easily digestible way.

There is a lot to unpack here.

1) the troon’s belief that only trans people are “queer,” which is a common one in my experience (I have definitely had enbies and troons attempt to groom me by telling me that lesbians are inherently “removed from being cis” for liking pussy)
2) the apparent belief that public spaces like movie theaters are for “queers” (aka trannies) only
3) the belief that only tranny opinions (and particularly only his) matter on everything.
4) a further demonstration of lack of theory of mind by assuming that none of other audience members would’ve wanted to further discuss the movie (positively or negatively) or for reasons besides “transness” afterwards elsewhere like he did. Only HE and his almost certainly pooner “boyfriend” recognized Buffy skinwalking trash I Saw the TV Glow as the deep, thought provoking work it truly is right on the spot

Haven’t even tried to watch it after reading similar things, and We’re All Going To The World’s Fair was hot garbage.
It was on Shudder for a while.

World’s Fair (because I’m not typing that overly long title again) was a snooze fest filled with well known tropes, oh no spooky internet game and found footage and being affected in real life by the killer game!
Generally I love found footage, but only if it’s good (like Incantation).

Also found it funny in World’s Fair that there was a full grown man who was secretly watching the minor teenage main character through her webcam, that was introduced as a helpful character.
Remember thinking it was bizarre that they just glossed over the man secretly watching a teenager to “help” her, that’s a creepy plot device.

The main character decides to NOT kill himself in a horrifying way for a promise of a perfect, girly afterlife and instead moves on with his life and troons see this as tragic and wrong.

Then there's the futanari femboy type. They are well aware that modern science cannot give them a pussy.
