Looks like he was in to some sort of body building before. Many people have made comments before that body builders a lot of them likely have some sort of body dysmorphia and that could likely contribute to trooning out. Body builders are different from people that work out to be physically fit for health reasons or for true athletic purposes, they're not power lifters or strong men, they do it for a particular and extreme Look. He’s being investigated for prostate cancer. He has a serious conversation with his wife, and dismisses her concerns as some weird idea she’s got stuck in her head because she’s a bigot. For mine, I think she is on the money.

I had an appointment with a urology surgeon this last week to discuss a biopsy of my prostate. This has bern too long coming from the initial positive blood tests with raised PSA and tumour markers. The positive MRI indicating the presence of a mass and referral to a specialist. I will likely have a biopsy sometime in the next two months (whenever the surgeon can fit me into the schedule).

On the way home my wife and I were discussing possible outcomes relating to a possible cancer diagnosis. I mentioned a plan if I have to take time off work for prostate surgery and what that would likely mean for our (already non-existent) sex life. She was not aware of the role that the prostate plays in both production of seminal fluid and arousal/ability to achieve an erection.

I have a tendency to overshare (I blame this on being autistic and often missing social cues). As a result I told her that it would likely affect my ability to both achieve an erection and ejaculate (having had a vasectomy years ago). I didn’t realise that this set her mind shooting down a rabbit hole of possibilities.
It seems that she managed to convince herself that this possible outcome from surgery would lead to me wanting to be a woman even more than I already do. That essentially being impotent would be the impetuous to propel me down the road of GRS. We had previously discussed how one possible treatment is anti androgens and oestrogen to shrink the tumour. This came back to her in her musing and she became convinced that I would use it as an excuse to start feminising HRT.

Needless to say the conversation was a difficult one as, while I still do want to transition, I am trying to work through my thoughts and feelings on this while also navigating a possible cancer diagnosis. I am unable to be completely honest with her about all of this due to her insecurities and string anti-trans viewpoints and beliefs.

I focused on the fact that at present we both have health issues that are up in the air at the moment. Rather than focusing on what ifs, we just need to focus on the present. Tomorrow will take care of itself. I didn’t deny that my thought process might go down the rabbit hole she brought up, but I didn’t confirm it either.

Ive pointed out how most pooners were SAed, and people on here said I was giving them too much credit, that a lot are simply similar to transbians and their reason for trooning out, which upon further thought I agree.
But I will say, most pooners who DETRANSITION are usually SA victims.
