and playing a lot of Age of Mythology
Ah, a man of culture.
That's why you should always main the Norse in Age of Mythology.
>if only you knew how bad things really got
I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but
I would like you to list all the retarded and gay shit in the Percy Jackson books.
Alright, here's what I can recall. This is mostly from Apollo Trials and Magnus Chase where Riordan dropped any attempts at being subtle (I've read first two books of both of these series but they were so gay I sold these off later):
- Apollo turned human has an inner monologue which is very on the nose about how gay marriage and love is valid and shiet after witnessing one of his sons he had with a man make out with Nico the son of Hades. It is written in a way that makes this read like he is lecturing the reader directly. (Apollo Trials, book 1)
- Two immortal followers of Artemis decide to sacrifice their longevity to raise an orphan girl as two lesbian moms (Apollo Trials, book 2)
- Jason, son of Jupiter and one of the main characters from previous series is introduced together with his girlfriend Piper daughter of Aphrodite, wanting to help Apollo. He consequently gets dumped by his girlfriend later in the story and gets killed in ridiculous way by the big bad guy. His ex-girlfriend later turns lesbian at the end of the series.
- Magnus Chase talks to one guy how a hawaian girl doll in his vehicle is cultural appropriation (Magnus Chase, book 1)
- Magnus reminisces about his hippy mother making jokes about having spirit animals because of their love of nature. This got removed in later book editions because it triggered tumblr (Magnus Chase, book 1)
- One of the main characters of Magnus Chase series is a valkyrie daughter of Loki who is also a muslim hijabi
- The aforementioned valkyrie talks about how she doesn't like to take her hijab off, how she has arranged betrothal to a cousin but she loves him, she stops during the middle of the mission to pray on a rug to Allah and also talks about how norse gods existing doesn't shake her faith in Islam because they are just minor gods and Allah made them (Magnus Chase, book 2)
- Another scene in the book has her ask Magnus for help to make her fiance start believing in supernatural. (Magnus Chase, book 2)
- Second book introduces a tranny shapeshifter, who's mother is Loki, he got killed and brought to valhalla where other warriors praised him as 'one of the good ones' after reviewing the footage where he died which pissed him off a lot. Later Magnus confronts him because he is confused about his gender (he switched back and forth) to which the tranny gave a rant about being 'transexual and genderfluid. You can educate yourself on the matter'. Magnus then has inner monologue about being surprised but not really because as a homeless man he met a lot of queer folk who got thrown out from their homes by their parents. The Tranny also at one point says that xe changed their gender right now, despite looking the same. (Magnus Chase, book 2)
- Magnus Chase later comes to conclusion that he is pansexual and attracted to the tranny.
- This is relatively mild in comparison but there's a mute elf in Magnus Chase books that uses sign language. Another norse god later gets introduced to also use sign language, talking with him how stupid the other non-mute gods are.
- This apparently wasn't written by Riordan but he gave a stamp of approval to some side book that stated that the demi-hero camp got renovated with gender neutral bathrooms.
