"Now I'm onto coke. Cherry Coke." Yeah, he said that.
You see, it's hilarious, because like, he's a cocaine addict facing felony drug charges. Don't you wish you had such jokes in your arsenal?
I mean the last time I heard this one, I fell off my dinosaur laughing (you now remember your childhood).
Nick thinks hes better than everyone so if someone gives him advice, even if its in his interests, he'll refuse out of spite even if its making his situation worse.
This is the primary trait of the lolcow, and none of them even understand why this behavior is insanely idiotic and hilarious.
It's also why weens are retarded when they try to fuck over cows in elaborate, dumb ways. You don't even need to fuck over cows. Just give them good advice and they'll spitefully fuck themselves over and think it's a W somehow while you're laughing yourself silly at their moronic antics.
It is notable, based on yesterday's disclosure, that two of the kids are listed as having (additional?) interviews in the State's evidence. If that is "weird", to note then more than half the posters who have considered the issues of the kids (listed above) are just as "weird". The kids are central to this story, sadly.
I am a mother. Of course I am most concerned for the kids, though one need not be a parent to be horrified and actively questioning what the fuck is going on. This thread does it on the daily.
If anything, parent or not, you're weird if you don't care. Almost anyone is going to be most concerned about the kids, even if it doesn't "personally affect you" as Diddler Dax likes to say. Only some weird redditor with a deranged loathing for kids doesn't care when innocents get screwed over by the degenerate and criminal behavior of their parents.
The cases: Can the State use disclosures from Nick/Kayla regarding the kids in the criminal case? Why is there a 6-7 day gap between the pastor's report and the search? Is that delay a problem for the search or the CPS case?
My personal belief is they were proceeding cautiously and making fully sure they were getting probable cause, but his deranged cokestream tipped the balance and they decided to pull the trigger right then and there. They knew they were dealing with a lawyer and they're often very careful to dot their i's and cross their t's to avoid any possibility of screwing it up.
Especially in a drug case, you want enough probable cause that you aren't just barely over the threshold. You want enough that even if some of your grounds are dodgy and get disregarded, you still have probable cause. Drug cases are generally decided by whether the evidence is admissable and courts are generally pretty good about applying the exclusionary rule. Compare, for instance, to more "serious" cases like murder. I've never heard of a case where they raided a house and found a crawl space full of murdered dead bodies and had that thrown out even when the probable cause was iffy. In drug cases, though, they're generally very by the book. Some cokehead walking isn't going to lead to a bunch more dead people.
In this case, the drugs and guns being admissable is the center of the case, including the child abuse allegations. So you really, really want your probable cause solid as hell. And I think the cokestream was the impetus just to go right in.
I would reckon they had been watching his streams at the very least since the reports from the pastor. I would also reckon the relevant members of the congregation had long been aware of Nick's cucking, swinging, drugs, and generally degenerate lifestyle, and obviously would not approve. When that degeneracy ripened into actual child abuse is when they took action. They already knew to be deeply suspicious of Nick's behavior.
Edit: Words
Edit to Add: Other discussions that have been actively considered ITT: did Nick's sexual degeneracy which he put on blast affect the kids? Did they know about it?
Over a year ago, I was absolutely certain and said so that the kids were at the very least going to get razzed over Balldo Dad. Just because they're Christian homeschooled doesn't mean they're some kind of weird Amish with no Internet access, or that they don't talk about the weirdoes in their congregation.
