Ricky Rackets was always a libertarian, he just used to portray himself as a social conservative and said all the drugs and debauchery shouldn't be illegal but weren't his thing. His view on government and economy was always a typical libertarian stance. If anything, I think he was more libertarian in 2019 than 2020-21 since at one point he didn't think the government should get to regulate payment processors and social media (even if it was for the sake of free speech). The only abnormal stance for a libertarian he had was he used very typical pro-life arguments.

But even though back then he was still into unpaid speeding tickets and spending hundreds of dollars extra per year on late fines for his property taxes, Nick didn't really give that impression on his show. Hell, he'd make fun of sovcits and once said Jack Murphy wasn't a libertarian but a libertine, and that there was a huge distinction between the two.
