Would have probably immediately ignited a civil war within the US and with that World War 3 at large as well as literally every single country would take advantage of the US being in utter internal turmoil, but sure.
As for the two candidates, first-past-the-post voting means that a state only ever goes for one party/candidate (except IIRC Nebraska and Maine) so multiple candidates simply serve to split the vote.

It does make sense, I just hope Trump chose well. A younger man, with a good but not stellar record, who he can possibly mould into his proper successor. Especially after the assassination attempt it must be clear to Trump that he needs to have a clear successor, someone he can personally train.

Moral high ground is starting to become completely worthless and backfire eventually. It’s one thing to have a Ronald Regan miss me moment. When it becomes a regular thing you can have an intimidation effect. People could vote dem out of fear. It happened with JFK when mafia thugs started showing up in voting booths

This. Not a bad pick from the looks of it.

I voted for Trump in 2016 because I wanted to give a middle finger to the fearmongers and the establishment, knowing full well that a Trump Presidency would be a gamble because he had no previous political history.

His 4 years in office are what actually made me a Trump supporter though.

Ive never seen the Democrats more depressed in my life. All the whining about the shooter "missing" on twitter are nothing but impotent screeching that EVERYONE is shitting on. EVERYONE. Trump's shooting has been unifying in a way i have never seen. And people are outright saying he's going to win now. Political people, normies, politicians, everyone is kinda just accepting it. He HAS won at this point. And everyone knows that. It has never been so Joever for the dems.
