Idk, I'm just not sold on Vance. I read him as a "country boy" who probably came from what real country boys would call the rich kid area (I don't know much about his actual background other than his hillbilly memoir book) and likes to aw shucks it up for his rich DC pals. First time I ever heard of him was when he was first peddling his book and I remember him being very cozied up with a lot on the left, making the talk show circuit and playing the part of the "sensible conservative calling for unity." Then he got into politics and transitioned fairly quickly from anti Trump repub to MAGA heir apparent?

This shit is just weird.

Flynn would have been fine but Carson is so low energy.
I only considered Carson as an option since he's someone who has generally proven himself as loyal to Trump (more so then Scott and Burgum did that's for sure) and also wouldn't overshadow him though he probably wouldn't be the best person to potentially lead Republicans after Trump's potential 2nd term is over.

Ive never seen the Democrats more depressed in my life. All the whining about the shooter "missing" on twitter are nothing but impotent screeching that EVERYONE is shitting on. EVERYONE. Trump's shooting has been unifying in a way i have never seen. And people are outright saying he's going to win now. Political people, normies, politicians, everyone is kinda just accepting it. He HAS won at this point. And everyone knows that. It has never been so Joever for the dems.
Unless the dems cheat, then there will be 4 more years of Biden and the Republicans will impotently seethe and do nothing for 4 years again.

Vance's strongpoint is America First for middle class families, for towns and cities to have places for people to work and feel like they have purpose in life. He's best at talking about how the rustbelt and middle class has been eroded.

Let Trump handle the world, Vance can tell Ford and Maytag you faggots move any more jobs to Mexico you're getting reamed with special tariffs and oops, IRS audits.
He is also, relatively speaking, young. Which means that he stands a good chance to become Trump's successor.

Need him for Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State.
Agree there, Flynn would also be a good counterpoint to Vance as an advisor.

I like Vance as a politician but he seems like the worst choice from an electoral strategy point.
Not... really. Trump is already gaining massive inroads with Blacks without needing a VP. And he doesn't have the risky baggage of a Tulsi.

Texas political candidate and gun-tuber, Brandon Herrera, uploaded a video about the Trump shooting.
Edit: Will clip it in a bit because there is stuff worth listening to. Done, the other parts of the video are mostly memes.
- Calls out journalist for being inhuman garbage.

- Stops the jokes for a moment to promote the gofundme from the families of the victims.

- Refuses to name the shooter, just makes fun of his ""Beavis and Butt-Head looking ass". :story:

- Speaks on the Demolition Ranch t-shirt, defends Matthew (The DR guy) and mentions the immediate media slander that he suffered.

Made this just to highlight the clear disparity between a guy on the left that claims to be political commentator/streamer (Destiny) and a guy on the right that did an actual political campaign trying to accomplish something politically (Brandon).

Edit: Feel free to repost it, I don't care. Fuck Destiny.

He also has a great viewpoint on the opiate crisis that’s devastated small towns in the rust belt.

Ohio spends obscene amounts of money on harm reduction for opiate deaths to be increasing year after year.

Tulsi is a hot coconut mommy, but more importantly she's a fiercely independent thinking and willing to work and bridge gaps between differing schools of thought. Choosing a hot-headed younger guy who just wants to fight and argue with everybody isn't the way forward.
Does she even want to become a vice president. It's a lame ass position. Maybe Trump is holding it out for better position to put her in. Again, vice president position is lame as fuck.

He’s going to pull out all the stops now.
Weed legalization, raising minimum wage, more student debt forgiveness, medical debt forgiveness, subsidies for new homeowners. He might quickly cut back environmental regulations in an attempt to get gas under $3/gallon. And he is going to try his best to make sure the fed cuts rates in September. All the shit will be thrown at the wall and some of it may stick.

Going to address the elephant the room and just say this could be one of those "Trump judge of character" moments that may or may not backfire on him down the line. He could also just be a yes man but time will tell.

Past comments from Vance:
In March, Sen. J.D. Vance tweeted, "I have a long memory. If you’re fighting Trump and his endorsed political candidates today, don’t ask for my help in a year with your projects."

I have a long memory, too, Senator.

I remember, in 2016, Vance offering sharp criticism of Trump during his press tour for Hillbilly Elegy, a memoir that, as one Appalachian critic bluntly put it, primarily argues "poor people suffer because they don’t know any better."

I remember an August 2016 interview with Vance on Kentucky radio host Matt Jones’ podcast, where Vance told Jones, "I agree with you on Trump because I don’t think he’s the person. I don’t think he actually cares about folks."

I remember Vance’s appearance on ABC’s Powerhouse Roundtable, where he dismissed then-candidate Trump as someone who "doesn’t offer many solutions."

I even remember Vance telling NPR he’d consider voting Democrat before voting for Trump, joking, "I think there’s a chance, if I feel like Trump has a really good chance of winning, that I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton.
When Trump told voters Vance was "kissing my a--" during his Senate bid, Vance neither protested nor stood up from himself. In fact, he worked even harder to win Trump's approval. Vance has been a busy Trump surrogate on national talk shows and even joined Trump's entourage in the New York courtroom for the former president's hush money trial. Vance has vigorously defended Trump even after his conviction on 34 felony counts while bashing the justice system.
