This shit is what has put the far right under in many other places. The fear of being called racist, sexist, whatever. It's been shown time and time again from the start of Gamergate to all those European parties. And they have a far larger megaphone and infanstructure to lay claim to the inclustivity banner than anything else. Biden has fucked up enough that I believe this shit won't have much of an impact on Trump's victory but it's not the path it should be going.

To be fair, I've been checked out of what Biden has been up to for a few years (focusing on things closer to home) so these are largely blind takes. I'm just genuinely surprised by how bad these look for him, I'm almost impressed.

I suspect even before Trump's shooting they had plans to do more outreach to non-traditional Republican voters. Trump attempting to woo the Libertarians was part of that and anyone due to speak as well as the organisers working out who to have on knew after the debates they would get attention from non-traditional sources.

Post shooting they'll have far more attention on it than usual. Every media outlet in the country will be swarming like flies and reporting every single word or phrase for an interested public.

I can understand the want to do that. The left is already tearing itself apart with the progressives on one side and the actual funding from the known factors on the other. Moderates will be more in play on the democrat side but this won't be converting them into longtime voters to say the least.

This whole thing was planned before the shooting. Sure you could change a speech on a short notice. But the speakers, the general message, all of that? That is always organized ahead of time. And given it was on the first day of the whole RNC and I have no doubts this was planned as one of their main avenues of attack in at most after the Biden debate.

Thats not happening. Since its the SS and presumably their fuck up, they will cite security concerns as to why they can't release it, even for the regular cops because it shows tactics or some national safety issue bs.
