I have no idea. I'd assume no, given the threat of the assassin not being a lone individual. Anyone with half a brain and a desire to remove someone like Trump with have multiple shooters.

No, because the area wasn't safe. Could've been more than one shooter. In fact, Trump is damn lucky that there wasn't because, if there were, that second shooter would've picked him off right after the infamous photo

As others have said the information we have doesn't line up with this. I lean more towards mass shooting attempt given the bombs he had in his car, and his overall behavior. I could definitely seem him being a loner, maybe being depressed, that turning to anger and wanting to kill and be killed. Then diverting to just trump with opportunity.
But where's the rumination? This isn't something he one day decided to do out of nowhere. He had bombs.
People with enough rage to commit a mass shooting, in my understanding, tend to build their anger over longer periods fantasizing about what they're going to do and how they're going to do it and who and where they'll target (maybe a specific place maybe a type of place), and so on before it boils over.
Not uncommonly there is some trail they leave behind. Elliot Rodger and the Danny phantom schizo had video diaries and YouTube videos, but it could also be jokes to people around them, or forum posts. Some sort of spillover.
For a zoomer, maybe it would be on discord or reddit that people assumed was just edgy humor (or was otherwise ignored/condoned) but there all the same. Or if he were truly isolated, some form of journal or way to plan.
Someone earlier suggesting the feds did find something and it's not anything they want the public to know about does stick with me. We saw that with the journals of Audrey or whatever her name was. We wouldn't have seen any of them if someone hadn't leaked snippets. And why? Because of what was in them.
The total lack of any information on any motive whatsoever just reads as very, very bizarre to me. No apparent inciting incident either. No recent break up (no surprise there he probably never had a girlfriend from the sounds of it), not fired recently, no arguments with his family. Just quiet.
Not to mention you're telling me a zoomer who was a loner in school and went through high school during the pandemic wasn't terminally online? Didn't try to find anyone like him in any social groups online? Nothing?

It would also not have nearly the same impact as Trump bleeding live on tv. If they shot the assassin before he could fire a single shot you know that CNN and pals would spin it as Trump ordering his team to shoot at bystanders.

The charged political nature of Destiny’s tweets, which are sympathetic to the shooter and the apathy towards the violence done to the attendees especially to the victims of this tragic event is really disguising (which is an understatement to say the least). One of the victims is named Corey Comperatore. He has been brought up in this thread along with others, but his passing is the only thing mentioned instead of the life he lived. I want to do justice for Corey to explain his background, and why the things Destiny has said are more vile than what others may not fully comprehend. Mr. Comperatore was born on June 16, 1974, in Natrona Heights, PA.
He was a Pennsylvanian with a strong belief not only in god, but helping his community. After graduating high school in 1922, he began his work in US Army Reserves for 10 years serving this country, and always pushing himself to be the best, and do the right thing. Corey was also an active member of the Cabot Church where he helped his community at the ground level. He went on to a volunteer firefighter at the Buffalo Volunter Fire Department. In the early 2000s, he served as the chief. During time, he would further his ventures, and begin working at a plastics manufacturing company. Not much else is known, but he would later settle down to marry his wife Helen Comperatore who would both have two children (Allyson and Kaylee). Corey Comperatore wanted the betterment of his country, which led him to be an avid support of the former President Donald J. Trump.
2. The Event That Took His Life
On July 13, 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania, the crowds are packed with an aura of hope being energized by the president himself. The wind breezes, and a clear blue sky on a nice weekend evening are present. This seemed like your typical Trump rally, but this day wasn’t so typical as we all know now. A few yards away unknown to the President or the crowd near him, some attendees saw a man had climbed the roof on a nearby building. When attendees tried warning the police, nothing was done, and the man remained on the roof. The man who news outlets later identified as the shooter was armed, and took several shots at the President. A few of these shots would not hit their intended targets, and Corey Comperatore died because of it. Was that it? Did Corey die just from a stray bullet that hit him?
No. Corey Comperatore died a hero. Mr. Comperatore had sacrificed his life to save his family. As the bullets were about to hit his daughter and wife, he dove on top of them to shield them from the bullets. Those very few previous seconds, the family was under his body, which protected them from the bullets. That same family specifically the daughter was under him when he was shot in the head, blood pouring out, and no pulse. Your own dad who you were raised by is dead. Corey Comperatore was 50 years old. His wife Helen Comperatore is also 50 years old, and their daughters (Allyson and Kaylee) are aged 27, and 24 years old. Mr. Comperature was lying in a pool of his own blood, and he was later on put on a bench so CPR could be conducted. Someone else would also put pressure on the wound, but the doctors found out there was no pulse.
3. Conclusion
The family of Corey Comperatore had survived a tragic event thanks to the heroic efforts of their loved one. Whatever distastes are being had about Comperatore’s political views when he was alive should not matter. A woman and their daughter are grieving, and their sole provider, and someone they cared deeply about is dead. People like Destiny are signal boosting spitting on this man’s grave, the daughters of the victims can probably see those tweets, if not being harassed by stans of Destiny. One of the daughters is a woman who has to witness someone she loved die in front of her and that’s traumatizing. Please show love and support to the family. Disgusting people like Destiny are hypocritical, and if the roles were reversed, they would be harping a different message.

It's kind of inside baseball, but SWAT generally doesn't have the best rep within many PDs. They get a lot of resources and training allocated to them for a minimal amount of work done compared to the average patrol officer and are filled with divas, dickheads and dumbasses. Basically if you're too stupid to do paperwork, too thuggish to interact with the public in a decent manner, or think you're too good to hose the drunk puke out of the back of your cruiser at the end of watch, then get jacked, work on your shooting quals, and try for the SWAT Team, where all the civilians think you're some badass, but all the other boys in blue roll their eyes at you when you're jacking each other off training while they're responding to domestics.

We have the alleged post from him on 4chan but even if that is bullshit we can actually map out how this went pretty thoroughly just off the video and a few bits of confirmed testimony.
First: SWAT team moves inside for... reasons
Second: Shooter goes up ladder
Third: Civilians notice, tell other units, units -do call in-
Fourth: Shooter begins setting up
Fifth: Sniper spots target
Sixth: Sniper calls in odd looking guy where SWAT should be, unsure if member of SWAT (Speculation)
Seventh: Sniper keeps rifle on target, waiting for confirmation. .
Eighth: For unknown reasons, in a two minute timespan, there is not a confirmation it is not SWAT (Speculation)
Ninth: Shooter opens fire
Tenth: Sniper countersnipes shooter.
There are only two bits of speculation in here, we know the rest -is- true. Sniper had reason to think the shooter might have been a friendly he did not recognize, so we can safely speculate he called it in. We then have a two minute gap of time where we have little evidence for what occurred. That is where you and I agree something up top fucked up -hard-. The only real questions are on the First and Eighth. Why did the SWAT team go inside, and why did the call in not result in an immediate "Not Friendly". I could see really good arguments for both extreme incompetence and outright malicious action.
