There are a few kinds of low risk cancer treatments for cancers that are not deemed as imminently fatal. But you are correct that the industry standard treatments are things targeted/non-targeted chemo.

My former boss had polycythemia Vera, as far as i understood when he talked about it they dont really use the "regular" cancer stuff on it. Its mostly bloodthinners and bloodletting a few months apart. He also discussed some other stuff that they gave him wich i dont remember what it was, those medicines made him very tired but as i understood it....the regular horrible stuff used to treat cancer are not used with this one. (and those might not have been for the cancer itself, he had 2 heart attacks because of the cancer so those could very well have been for the heart)

while I agree with the overall message , I disagree with the assumption that boogie has enough money to survive till his death...I fully believe boogie is dead broke(has some equity in his home but thats it).the confusion comes from the fact that while he loves playing the victim there is a part of him that love being the alpha male and he loves knowing that some people think he has a lot of money stashed away so he keeps that confusion alive.
his mom home is likely also owned by his lying brother and sister so he only has 33% of 25k???
