It’s a shame there will likely be no VOD cause it seemed funny but I do agree with the redditor that having Steven as a father is social stigma enough, he doesn’t need to be singing 1930’s German songs.

At the end of the clip you can hear Nathan say "This is my opinion, not yours." very forcefully.

I think when he spends time with his deadbeat father, his deadbeat dad does try to shove his political opinions down his son's throat; and his son has responded by becoming unfathomably based.

Nathan is rebelling against a father who doesn't care in the only way that will hold his father's attention: holding differing political views from him.

It wouldn't surprise me if during these conversations those are also some of the rare instances where he's giving his son completely undivided attention; because attention is attention, positive or negative, to a child who isn't loved enough.
