My main issue with Lex is not even that he is always fence sitting intentionally, or that he has a clear agenda when setting up "debates", as evidenced by him pairing destiny with alex jones just to stir up shit. My main issue with lex is how he sucks as a host. He could be given the perfect debate to host, but he is so bad at wrangling the conversation that it feels like such a wasted effort.

I'm pretty confident the way it works is:

• Actual political orgs will have lists of registered democrats/republicans
• Those orgs share the list with canvassing groups
• The canvassing groups partner with Destiny to get people to knock on doors

When they knock on doors, they aren't trying to debate people into voting for the democrats, it's more of a "hey, I see you're a registered democrat, so we're just making sure you're aware there's a vote soon and you should support the democrat candidate X".

There's a chance I'm wrong, but even if Phil is right and they knocked on a few republican doors, it's doesn't really matter. If that happened, it's a fuck up from whoever provided the lists. He's desperate.
