Chris was defending Shad as late as 2018, way after him being known as the "loli guy", drawing IRL children and the like. They starting distancing themselves only when he became a violent junkie and sperged out at Corey.

What Chris Tyson did was way worse of course and would have happened without Shadman ever existing.

That being said, Shadman's rise to fame was enabled by other YT and Twitter celebs and that's a fact.

Shadman was a meme for a long time, and a pretty big part of the shady underbelly of the internet.

Ripping out the entire newgrounds animation community and people exposed to just the meme is stupid. Especially those who knew him through the newgrounds community or knew him before his edginess metastasized into kid fucking, or those who just didn’t look deeper.

Separating “Shad the Meme”, “Shad the man”, and “Shad the loli pornographer” is what people want to happen.

Corey has been with his "gf" "Lexi" for at least a decade. He talks about "her" in 2014 episodes of sleepycabin.

Somewhere out there (and probably in the OneyPlays thread) is a clip of a Corey livestream where Lexi walks in and speaks to Corey in his normal voice, but I am having a hell of a time finding it.
