Best to just keep an eye on his Twitter and keep posting updates, then re-request a review once he's been active for a while.
And for what it's worth, the mods could stand to pick up the pace with the reviews and approvals. A single mod being offline most of the time really shouldn't grind the process to a halt as much as it has.
