Is this Mugi Chan youtuber really a troon? The voice is usually a dead giveaway, case in point tacticaltroonfriend, she seems to have a pretty feminine inflection though.
The "girl" shooting is a guy 100% imo.

I'm kinda leaning towards girl for the speaking parts to the camera / voiceover. I suspect they are playing some weird game where there are wearing the same outfits. Who the fuck knows why though.

Speaking of troons in guntube. Why hasn't there been a pooner guntuber yet? You'd think they'd wanna show how they're totally badass doods and love guns and stuff like real doods. No AK doods, no AR doods, nothing.
Because FtMs aren't into guy stuff and use grindr because they're just straight women with extra mental illness.

dropping very expensive handguns to see which ones will go off. The P320 is okay now, custom trigger jobs are not great and 1911s have shitty inertial firing pin design more news at 11.

So Ian got invited by the Estonian military to come to Estonia and shoot guns and stuff.

The man has some serious street cred.

There's a few interesting bits in the podcast but overall, it's mostly questions he's been asked before.

Oh yeah, and he's writing a book about Finnish small arms. The photography has already been completed.

Some 1911s and 2011s do not have firing pin blocks. A firing pin block is a little piece of metal that prevents the firing pin from striking the primer of a cartridge in the chamber. IN CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE INERTIA OF A FIRING PIN ALONE IS ENOUGH TO SET OFF A CARTRIDGE.
Some 1911s and 2011s have firing pin blocks. Typically a firing pin block will make the trigger pull worse because pulling the trigger will normally move the firing pin block. Avid shooters can tell the difference between a pistol with or without a firing pin block just from feeling the trigger pull. Some high dollar 1911s and 2011s don't have firing pin blocks because customers have complained about feeling its effect on the trigger. Combat handguns need firing pin blocks in case they are dropped while the manual safeties, should they even be present, are disengaged; murphy's in-laws and shit.

SIG IS GARBAGE
Over the last few years SIG has faced a perpetual firestorm of lawsuits because they are greedy, corrupt, and some of their firearms have been proven to have serious problems:
over 20 people file a mass action lawsuit against SIG over the P320
Dalton Harrell killed after being struck by a bullet when a P938 fell out of a car door
SIG P938 self ejecting guide rod
SIG P938 safety issue
True Velocity sues SIG for stealing small arms designs
SIG recalls a bolt action rifle because tapping the bolt sets the gun off

SIG fails drop test

SIG goes off in holster (no audio)

Possible explanation for SIG pistol problems

SIG rifle fires when bolt is tapped

In the full video, here on PreserveTube, the rifle initially won't fire when the trigger is pulled. It starts firing when the trigger is released before the bolt issue in the clip above occurs.
There are more problems with SIG than I have documented here. If I ever get around to it I'll post a full write up on SIG's malfeasance. Suffice it to say that if you purchase SIG products you really need make sure the thing works when its supposed to and doesn't when it isn't. In any event may the lord watch over you.

Damn, so have SIGs always had these problems or are they just recent bullshit? My dad always loved SIG pistols but he was always really worried about drop-safe weapons so I doubt he would still be happy with them if their performance was always like this.

their old metal DA/SA guns were and still are safe. the problems with them have been finish related IIRC. they were designed by competent engineers so they are g2g. of course with nusig QA you have to check for function before you buy.

Yeah, Sig firearms have a variety of design and QC issues plaguing them.

I've heard a few people living in humid areas complain about the slides of their CCWs having a garbage coating that rusts surprisingly easy (at least one guy I saw had his P365 mags start to rust too). I suppose if you live someplace where it gets hot and humid and you're appendix carrying and sweating all day, this could theoretically happen with any gun, but the same people who had this issue stated that they'd not had this problem with their Glocks, S&W M&Ps, etc.

Whether or not Sig's slides are any more prone to rusting, you really need to be diligent with cleaning and oiling a carry piece if you live in a humid climate. Summers where I live get hot and humid, I sweat quite a bit, and I appendix carry, so I tend to wipe down and oil my G19 at least every other day during the summer months just to ensure nothing has a chance to start rusting. This process is still pretty important during cold winters if you're going from outdoors to indoors repeatedly, since condensation will form.

I make a living manufacturing CCW products and the P320 and P365 are some of the most popular guns for appendix carry. I'm surprised we don't see more issues with the astounding number of pistols out there. Regardless, I personally don't run any striker fired appendix; other than a Glock.

I hope we get at least one case where someone can prove or replicate any of these failures on P320s post-voluntary upgrade. The cases that have finished don't really go into any technical detail into the how or why.

Both can be true:
-
Cops make a ton of fucking mistakes.
-Sig makes a ton of mistakes (early P365s, Cross, etc.)

I shoot my M17 better than most handguns, but I personally won't buy any more Sig products. People shouldn't support Sig at the very least because they will silently revise parts or outright stop providing replacement parts well before the lifespan of your firearm. They got me before with some of their other guns and I'm glad I went SP5 rather than MPX in the last few years.

Got a link to that discussion where Lucas mentions them? I’m guessing it was on instagram or something.

SDI is just a front to suck up GI Bill money from vets, ask me how I know. If I had to guess, I’d say most of their income comes from vets signing up. They don’t send absolute garbage, the guns are ok but some of the tools they send are mediocre quality at best. Instead of a dremel or other good quality rotary tool brand they sent some aliexpress Chinese junk for example.

I knew going into it that all of this was true, but the curriculum isn’t too bad, especially if you already have some other skills like metalworking and machining. I mostly did it to use up the last of my GI Bill, get some free guns and tools, and supplement the skills I already have.

RIP Paul, he’s got to be the last of the old guard of the kind of guys I grew up around in the gun community. Not out to make a profit, just be a mentor and guide to shooting fundamentals and marksmanship. Now we’re left with mostly guntubers shacked up with leviathan who mostly care about marketing and profit, whatever gets the most engagement. I hate it.
I'm sure that as professional YouTubers they've done careful checks on the SDI and everything is above board. Although I know the Fat Electrician and Angry Cops were defendng some sketchy company that was offering verterans help filing out VA forms, on the basis of 'muh free market'. So maybe that will be the line they take.
