This is my time to advertise that ROMhacks.org is a place and it's been more immediately user friendly than .net for months now due to not being 20 years of old webcode, having preview image thumbnails instead of just text and not having insurmountable mountains of shitty mario 3/world and pokemon hacks, plus the home page doesn't get a giant news post every other week with 30 translations you'll never use or some obscure game hacking tool you won't remember two days from now.

Not exactly an advertisement, since their specialty can be rather niche even by gaming mod standards, but Baddest Hacks (BHDN) is another worthwhile place. It's not a "shitlord" alternative despite what the name would imply, although they also don't take kindly to the shitlib faggotry that Romhacking has been pushing for eternity. In fact, they have their own thread for occasionally documenting and making fun of RH, which may or may not contain stuff worth transferring to this thread.

You just jogged my mind about something I have not thought about for years. Indeed NWPlayer123 was quite likely the first and the one who ended up creating the modern troon dataminer/reverse engineer stereotype. He used to work on the Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 hack until that met its demise, trooned out and then went on to be known as the Splatoon octoling dataminer in 2015.

By the way. His real name is Nick Poelma, which has for the most part been scrubbed now except for some breadcrumbs in forum posts and this whiny Pastebin about school that I found where he signs off with his name (cut off in the archive for some reason but still visible in the HTML). I found a Nicholas William Poelma living in Colorado with birthyear 1996, which would match up with the details on this forum profile as well as the initials "NWP", but that's just food for thought. Now as a true octogirl he goes by Nikki. I assume taken from the Swapnote girl that all Nintentroons adore, and this Himalayas profile is also most likely him.

The SMW community is completely raped by trannies, has been for years.
One example I can give is back in September 2020, which was the biggest division the community has experienced. One of the biggest Kaizo streamers named Dode (who appeared at numerous GDQs) was cancelled for having a streamer named Svorass in his autohost list (he has previously made anti-trans jokes at Shovda's expense, who's a tranny SMW streamer). He buckled and tweeted out that he removed and banned Svorass, but the apology wasn't accepted, because of course it wouldn't.
He deleted his Twitter account after Shovda tweeted a screenshot of a Twitch whisper that said something along the lines of "You're a dude who cut off his dong. We want Dode back."
He eventually took a 2 month break from the internet, and when he came back he had banned all the people who had dogpiled on him. They for some reason viewed it as him banning people for being LGBT or allies, and many streamers began banning him and one user even started a brigade on his return stream with some prominent members of the SMW community like tjb0607 and Switchpalacecorner. A great quote from Dode that stream was "We actually have plenty of queer people in this chat, including the mod that just banned you."

MoniStreams then came out with a very conveniently timed document accusing him of sexual harassment (only evidence is screenshots of Discord DMs). Everyone took it at face value and within hours Dode was permanently banned from SMW Central and speedrun.com. Even those who were on the side of "trust but verify" were getting flamed.
That ended up being his last SMW stream, and since then he's slowly left the internet, at first occasionally showing up in some edgier SMW chats, and did a couple of streams of Binding of Isaac and Doom, but he's now left for good.

The Diamond/Pearl page relating to the 2024 Terraleak used to have Typhlosion as a thumbnail for the "Lore" part of the leaks

If you don't know, the official leaks have ancient Pokemon lore that was never publicly posted, and for a very good reason: One of these stories involves a shape shifting Typhlosion that leads a lost girl into a cave, drugs her with berries, grooms her, impregnates her and then has her giving birth to a Cyndaquill, presumably how we got the normal Johto variant. This isn't even the only folktale that involves pokephilia either found in this leak.
This was later changed due to a "mistranslation" and this is how the thumbnail looks right now

If you're wondering what was "mistranslated", apparently the original Machine Translation had the girl get Stockholm Syndrome and defend the Typhlosion from her father, alongside overall poorer grammar. Even in the "new" translated story, she still gets taken to the cave, drugged, raped and impregnated. Suffice it to say, this "mistranslation" is just a dog whistle for some troon's hurt feelings. No fun allowed!

Note that during the entire time of those leaks, not once was any Pokemon article featured, not that I saw anyways. This is easily the biggest event within the video game archival this year, if not several years, and yet these stupid troons would rather feature a Simpsons game than one of the games which are actively getting more and more leaks every day.
