Speaking of, I found the reason why he keeps going back to Def con like a prom king reminding everyone what he once was:

Does he mention that he won black badges when he was a part of a team?

He's listed as a "QA Analyst" in the credits for Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, "Other Product Analyst" in Heart of the Swarm, and "Security Specialist" in Legacy of the Void.

The games he worked on according to Moby Games

I have a feeling he won't attack the site unless something genuinely damning occurs. Right now, all he really needs to do is just fucking say it: I own a publishing firm, and I don't want the SKG initiative fucking with my bottom line because I actually give a shit about making sure people are paid. Or some dumb bullshit like that.

A spook.
He was taught how to use tools by furries and some guy who ran a now non-operating furry pornsite. I specifically remember him going to a "Santa Ana Computer Fair" in 2006 with a guy and babbling to everyone about how he spent a ton of money on "H4x0r 70015". Even had a picture of the CDs sprawled out on facebook MYSPACE.

IT has come a long way since then. Long gone are the day where you have to open up a command line through a tunneled DNS and run port scans on IPs after scraping the DNS after a ping. While they do teach you how at https://www.comptia.org/certifications/pentest they also show you how to use automated tools that have a heavy or lighter footprint and the dated "I'mma haxor" bullshit becomes a "So is everyone and their grandma".

Someone with a government job would have been made to sign an NDA. We're talking DoD contractor. So this whole "I wurk 4 gubmint" smells like feted garbage. If it's true it would take one call to the FBI and that 59 second video to show that they have a broken arrow/rogue agent situation on their hands giving away sensitive information about compromised crucial infrastructure security. In my humble opinion: He's full of the same shit he was 23 years ago but everyone that interviews him is too stupid to ask "What about government enforced NDAs?" and "So what was your government clearance level and why do you harbor such terroristic thoughts against an entity that contracted you so few years ago?"and "Who is your handler and why haven't they put you down?" but then again "Big guy at blizzard that I have on Linkdin can say I did this whaaa!" would be the go-to.
EDIT: This is in response to him having game design credits as early as 1995
He was working on video games at age 7 and Doing cinematics at age 12, guys. He's the real deal.

No, just that he won. If I go by what he says in the short, the team consisted of people from Blizzard's opsec, that he himself formed.
also please add this to the OP. This is Maldavius's real voice:
You know, the deep voice shit had me thinking why does all of this shit sound familiar? And then I remembered:
Elizabeth fucking Holmes.

You know how when someone is out of college they don't have any real experience so they have to find a way in job interviews to twist words to make the small things they have done sound substantial. And doing so can be so unnatural that you end up forming a mental script of exactly how to tell the BS story. That's exactly what he's done here, this exact interview clip I've heard him tell each part of this story in nearly the exact same way multiple times leaving the exact same ambiguities and questionable statements that you'd let slide once in, and I haven't even watched this guy very much. This is why the American games industry (and the rest of media and tech) are going down the drain, because I could recognize that this guy is completely full of shit in around 3 youtube shorts, but meanwhile the average hiring manager is too fucking retarded to tell and someone lets this guy climb decently far up the career ladder before he decided to retire to the pastures of spending 8 years making scuffed undertale while grifting

He definitely bass boosts his streams and content, but I think we might have more of an Elizabeth Holmes situation here. See this live moment from streamer awards:

What the fuck did he make?

Interesting thing on Xitter (Formerly Twex). Ville Kallio, Finngolian creator of the popular indie game Cruelty Squad (and also the most effective thesis for the Godot engine existing by virtue of being its only successful game so far) made this post:

People seem to be going with the agreement he's referring to PirateSoftware, given the most popular reply is this Xcretement in particular:

Interesting that we're seeing a public downturn in popularity for Jason. Likely ties in with his incendiary commentary on StopKillingGames. I'm curious to see if Jason will assume Ville himself sincerely was aiming at him and if he'll try a gay internet slapfight.
Cruelty Squad Dev makes the best ugly shit I've ever seen. Video game equivalent of that one food you find in a hole in the wall that looks like dogshit but tastes of ambrosia.
Whether he's just being witty or actually target

Looking at his profile, he vanished a day after posting with no other messages than the OP. Basically a driveby OP, possibly even a Personal Army request. I looked up his username but all I can find is it's the same name as the former Taco Bell headquarters in Cali, so not much to track.
Really weird.
At this point, it really doesn't matter. Personal army or not Thor appeared to be making waves last year for absolute bullshit and his latest take has put a spotlight on him. For me it was him popping into streams of people I watch and being treated like a reliable source on game dev. It got me curious, I saw some videos, wasn't impressed and came here to see if he had a thread.
That said, we probably need a mod to find a better curator of this down the line if things continue to deteriorate beyond the current stupidity.

It's a streamer award. He didn't make anything, he just popped off out of nowhere because he gamed the system, going from a nobody streamer to someone with 2 million subs on youtube. They also put him there just so they can have him in the spotlight since he was very popular at the time because it was right around the time of the Blizzard/California lawsuit shitshow and he was presenting himself as "one of the good guys".

The Jason "Thor" Hall method to establishing undue credibility:

Have you ever cheated in Pokemon Red/Blue to get 99 pokeballs?
You're a penetration tester with 26 years experience and conducted buffer overflow attacks against proprietary software.
Have you ever changed values in Flash or URLs to cheat Neopets or other web games?
You're a 24 year experienced Application Security Engineer with a specialty in parameter tampering attacks.
Have you tricked a Runescape player into revealing their password?
You're now a Red Team Specialist who manages social engineering attacks.

Anyway, aside from the ferret piss, "Thor" reeks of desperation, trying to steal whatever credibility he can. Take this video for example, he's talking about Lizard Squad DDOSing Blizzard. He tells the story as if he was there when it happened, however by the timeline on his LinkedIn profile, he had already quit Blizzard to go work at Amazon 2 months prior. Watch, he'll slip up and say "because WE couldn't find out who they were". Not your team, not your company, but you'll still try to take credit.

That's the feeling I've been getting for a while. How many of his stories are real and how many of those real stories are him taking credit from someone else? How often is he just repeating some shit he heard at work and said, "oh yeah, that was totally me". Considering the size of the teams he was on for those DefCon black badges, he comes off like the guy that hardly contributed for a group project, managed to get along with people, and then took credit while conveniently not mentioning it was a team effort.

Do his former coworkers know he's lying or are the people he's stealing stories from retired and don't even know what's going on? If they do know and are still working there, are they just afraid to speak out because he was a massive nepohire and the threat of getting canned is too much for them, especially when they don't have receipts of his lies?

He even lies about his voice, take a listen to this interview and compare it to the video where he explains timed exclusivity

(Preserve Tube)

Due to the amount of backlash he received for his take, he decided to double down by making 2 videos explaining himself, both of which are completely wrong

Might be worth including in the "long COVID" timeline. Here he goes on to say that along with COVID he also contracted some sort of a "fungal infection". At around 1:00 he claims the "recovery" took 2.5 years, and at 2:05 he establishes a rough timeline, although aside from the "Januray 2020", it's quite vague, unless you count the spastic mouse movements over the calendar:

Someone made a video covering the drama Jason was in during his time on Second Life, specifically the time he fired his employee, Wingless Emoto when she was asleep
Preservetube
Jason responded to this:

He completely glosses over the fact that he fired her while she was asleep and also the anonymous testimonies that were read out in the video

He's so fast on this shit bro it's like he has a tab with his name in Google on auto refresh on his second monitor.

I would wager he has an ego bot that searches for his name and ping alerts him to new things.
Whether or not he is smart enough to make it search sites that don't show up on google - like ours. I doubt it.

Edit:
His deep voice is completely gone, meaning that he most likely uses a voice changer. He is so insecure about his fake voice that he defends himself in the comments under a seven-year-old video
I think in the old thread there was a link to him accepting a twitch award and you can hear how different he sounds still. So even the excuse of second puberty is a load of shit. Let me find it.

How insecure you have to be to actively boost your deepness.

I really don't understand how hard it is to understand or think about whole "iniative" thing. It is not proposed legislation. It is not referendum. It is in essence just a petition with huge pile of signatures. From multiple different countries in case of EU. Basically exist for people to be able to tell their politicians that this thing is rather popular. Without all of the industry insider lobbying...

And somehow this should be final and fully thought out and perfect before you can even give support for idea... Really seems just fight by insider to be able to continue whatever exploitation they have... Really makes me wonder of many of these commentators that are so proconsummer until target is something they are associated with...
