This is either a decent take, or deeply disingenuous, and it hinges on a single question: Can you list your game for $50 on Steam while listing it for $30 on Epic (or $30 on Xbox)?

If you can do that then fine. But if you can't then his talking about steam keys is disingenuous dodging of the actual anti-competitive behavior of Steam by diverting into a separate issue entirely.
make sure you are using preservetube to have multiple redundant backups in different places for these videos as well.

There comes a moment in someone’s coding career where they go, “this is tiring, slow, or tedious, there has to be a better way of doing this.”
My guess is that the way his engine or code works, he’s having trouble with technical debt or his script/engine’s GUI sucks dick.
He’s a mix of lazy and stubborn that a nepotism baby would exhibit. Sometimes you gotta go through, eat shit, and change how you handle data and logic shit to make life easier in the long run.
Would love to see more of his code.

I don’t have any universal advice since everyone’s situation is different, but if you are starting like me, a solo programmer with little money, I can tell you this. You need to have a clear vision of what you want to make, and if there is something on the market designed to the same or greater extent than what you have planned.

There is nothing wrong with following the genre traditions, but it’s good to offer something new, that no other game has.

Love what you do, and you must be prepared and dedicated to finish the project on your own (regardless of the audio/visual quality). That way if nothing else, you’ll at least have that satisfaction.

unlike Jason who had millions of dollars at his disposal the development team Underrail
financed everything and they actually finished the game and it's actually a fun game and not a knockoff of something else it's a wholly original idea.

If you're reading this Jason which you're probably odd because you have self obsessed narcissist you would never have the talent of some random guys from Serbia

this is what a dedicated development team looks like just some dudes creating a great game

He might actually be using a voice changer for streams.
It's not like it's even a big deal to say you use a radio voice for your content but your voice is just naturally deep anyway. But, he has positioned himself as a surrogate dad figure so revealing any kind of smoke and mirrors undermines his authority as some kind of genuine dude who just wants to make games man.
What a fucking dumbass lmao
Weighing in on the Stop Killing Games fiasco was a total dumbass move to begin with and feels like he is showing his colors as an industry plant or trying to cozy up to the industry for obvious business reasons.

The worst thing he could have done is bring a ton of attention to Ross and SKG but he wanted to use his giant audience to smother the movement in its crib. Unbeknownst to him this will ultimately tarnish his reputation WAY more than simply letting it be.

I had no idea the guy was a furfag second life pedo weirdo from what little of his content I had seen but now I do because he didn't keep his mouth shut.

HE'S STILL MAD ABOUT THIS VIDEO :story:
Isn't this guy supposed to be a master of "social engineering"? In what fucking world is it a good look to have this big a meltdown in your faggot discord about a video some guy with less than 1/1000th your subscriber count made making fun of you?

Also really good excuse that youtube videos mocking him are somehow getting in the way of him making his shit undertale game or more slop youtube shorts.

Did anyone here actually watch the Muta video? It was 25 minutes of aimless rambling. Claiming that SKG saying The Crew had 12 million players is dishonest because of steam charts showing an average of 200 over the past few years, despite this not being about active players but OWNERS. Trying to agree with Thor's gripes about the initiative being too "vague and broad" without realizing that it had a word limit and it's something that's supposed to get more focused as it progresses. Muta did fuck all for research for this video and it shows. Didn't even endorse the initiative.
Just rewatched it at double-speed.
Totally milquetoast middle of the road shit where he "part agrees with Pirate Software". There is a narrative in previous videos where he goes about saying in a very long winded way "Ubisoft is shit and we should sue them for not releasing the content for The Crew" but in the video he does take a stance, weakly, against Jason while saying Rossman is correct in his assumptions but "Could change/correct some of the wording to make it more stable".
It's a middle-grounded stance but leaning toward SKG. He's already lightly poked fun at Jason by mocking him for having to tell people "Not to download cheats" on twitter - pointing out the smooth brain nature of someone on a mostly adult oriented platform needing to tell people that "Exploitive Programs could be used to compromise your computer". He's not taking a "firm" stance because he knows Jason will probably shit on him in turn become a flame war.
Jason used to run around school screaming "HABIBIBIBIB URKA DURKA MOHAMAD JIHAD TALIBAHN!" mimicking the Taliban Southpark Episode. So We're not too far from braindead takes. Could you see where this is going? It's not going to be a garbage fire but the entire dump is going to set ablaze when the spark catches a dense enough trail of methane gas.
"They were 17 and I was 19" - Jason Thor Hall's newest statement
Niggerfaggot, your log that we have all seen has you stating "They were 16" and you also stated you worked with them for over a year - meaning they were 15. So, that means he exploited a (15-17 year old) child to make sexual avatars for Second Life in the state of California where the legal age of consent and exposure to adult content is 18. While he was 19, in a "Position of Authority", with a vulnerable child and he "Visited Them" and was "Best friends with them".
Breaking this down:
Jason Thor Hall engaged in GROOMING BEHAVIOR and EXPOSED A MINOR TO ADULT SITUATIONS AND SOLICITED THEM FOR "ARTWORK" DEPICTING THOSE ADULT SITUATIONS
.
The verbage used here is very "He was almost legal" bullshit excuse for a man of nearly 20. I've seen "To catch a Predator" and I've seen enough to know this is a lot of pedophile downplaying. Claiming his log being distributed is "tabloids" is a huge downplaying cope. Moving the "goalpost" by 1 year doesn't remove the "They're 16" quote and the "Found them a year ago" statement setting the timeline to having scouted said talent at 15.
Again, really weird a 19 year old would drive 2 hours to hang with a 15/16/17 year old (based on log statements) without a chaperone. "I didn't do anything sexual with them" - the faggot had people his age to hang out with, a girlfriend that was obsessed with him, and he's going to hang out with a minor 2 hours away. We've proven he's a chronic liar. We know he's a chronic liar. His logs prove it in this entire situation. At no point did he prove the contrary. His "Best friend" was someone he groomed since they were a minor and he admits to it in a roundabout way. Think about that.

I dont believe its 100% a voice changer and the stream awards is probably his regular voice, im of the current opinion that he conciously deepens it out of his own ability, but his voice obviously sounds a bit higher outside of his curated enviroment
Agreed. It sounds like he's just consciously talking from his chest and letting more air* through his throat, when talking live. On stream, it sounds a little bit enhanced - probably a bit of EQ to bring out the lower end and clip off the higher end. Nothing special, and a lot of people do it.

Him being so self conscious about it is fucking hilarious because there's nothing THAT weird about it to begin with.

precise data such as passwords in a JPEG, which is a lossy format
Lossy format only means that it loses data when it's compressed, if he just keeps the file sitting around on the pc without editing it then it won't be further compressed so some simple scheme like using a hash of the image as a password would still work. Still a retarded larp either way.

Compared to other specimens on this godforsaken website, he wouldn't even qualify as a lolcow. :stress:

Yeah, I was specifically thinking of encoding data in an image itself, not the metadata or using a file hash as a password, which is just a cool concept, although probably not very useful. I just write my passwords in a notepad, like a boomer, which is still more practical than fucking around with storing passwords in random JPEGs. More reliable too, because if your storage dies, you're kinda fucked.

Mutahar is just your average ladder-climbing 90 IQ pajeet. I am predicting now that when Jason is inevitably pegged to the wall on something really heinous (child or ferret molestation) Mutahar will be one of the first in line to make a video with an inflammatory anti-Jason headline where he mumbles for 30 minutes and shows some screenshots he found on Discord, saying nothing one way or the other. Never forget that Mutahar sweeps it up for trannies and did a podcast with a pedophile until the faintest winds of pushback began to blow.

At the very least, store your password manager's account password into an encrypted zip file that you remember the password to on a cloud service (With 2FA of some sorts) or a Bitlocker encrypted flash drive.

At least that sounds a hell of a lot more sane than some steganography stuff involving image files and external PC tools that could easily fail at any time. Thor's method for saving passwords sounds needlessly obtuse.
