It was mentioned in MATI episodes long past, that Lorelei (tbh I don’t know if that’s the right spelling) worked on Shinigami Eyes in secret until Null blew their cover wide open. I don’t know if he’s passed it off to someone else to develop it since.

Ah, this guy, I didn't think to search his name here until yesterday.

I was working on a videogame pitch right around the time he went viral on Youtube shorts, and watched him and even joined his Discord to talk gamedev (dumb and naïve of me, I know).

It took a couple of weeks but both his content and his community started to smell funny so I left. Red flags were his super pro-DRM stance (he brags about how he ties his game to Steam's online systems, to make it harder to pirate*) and his weird dialogue array which other programmers already pointed out.

From what I hear ever since the Ross Scott incident, his Discord is in full "safe space" mode and tranny jannies are banning people left and right.

*For curiosity's sake, I got a couple of pirated copies from my usual sites and they indeed don't work correctly.

Stuff like Paint.NET doesn’t work on Linux.

At least under the context of simple image editors and such, Krita and even Photopea are probably more capable. I haven't used Paint.NET in years.

I just see an issue in terms of video editing and more specific use cases, because DaVinci Resolve has some limitations and Kdenlive's UI is a hot mess.

He honestly has a good take here and pretty much every Linux user would agree with him, and yet he is still retarded enough to keep using Windows.

At the very least, he should download Windows 11 LTSC IoT, as that has the least bloat. Then test things in a virtual machine and do some looking for how to transfer things over. If people have the time to installer hunt every time a Windows update breaks something (and they're forced to factory reset), then they can figure this out.
