Idk how it is in Canada but in Burger land it gets waaaay harder to get a (high functioning) autism diagnosis as an adult, It's even harder if you're female. ( high functioning female autism does present differently, however Anisa still doesn't show even one of the signs/symptoms.)
Definitely. It’s even quite difficult for male children to get an ASD diagnosis. They are typically seen by several psychiatrists who observe behavior when left alone, behvauor in a setting with other children and one on one behavior with the psych, talk to parents extensively about milestone history, etc.
