The Ruger .44 carbine, a tube fed semi auto carbine in .44 magnum. If you could bring one discontinued firearm back into production what would it be? Mine would be the HK P7M13.

I don't want to read this text block what do I do?I met a guy through work that is an FFL and he’s supposedly selling “NVGs and thermals”.
1.) is there any reason to own NVGs or thermals if you’re just a retard who goes to the range to shoot paper or to the desert to shoot steel? If you don’t go hunting in low light conditions, is it basically another “gucci” item to buy to flex on the poorfags?
2.) how legitimate of a proposition does that sound like? I remember reading somewhere on here that high quality NVGs aren’t cheap and the technology for Made in USA ones are proprietary secret squirrel shit.
Guy said he supposedly “has a buddy” that works for a manufacturer in the state that he moved here from. It could all be bullshit but I know there’s posters ITT far more knowledgeable than me about that stuff.
I just ordered 1000 rounds of M193, and 1000 of 9mm 124gr.I have a pvs 14 and never use it. The biggest problem ive run into is finding ranges that will let you shoot at night. I have one close by that lets me, but only once a month, because the owner wants to be there. Also i can't do anything besides sit/stand at the firing line. No moving or anything. And IR lasers/illuminators make my gun heavy af so i took them off.
Honestly its cool to have and walk around with in the woods, but if i could redo it, i would have rather gotten proffesional training and much more ammo.
Ammo prices seem to just get more and more expensive these days. I'm stocking now while i can. Perhaps in 4 years we'll look back on 40cpr brass reman 223 as "the good times". I mean just look at this """"""""deal"""""""" of 50cpr steel case 762x39.View attachment 6322417

STG-57s can be commonly found in Switzerland and europe I think. Not so much the USI'm having a difficult time narrowing it down to just one, so I'm going to say the FG-42 Type 2, the STG-57, the Colt Monitor/R-75/R-80, the Winchester Model 71, the Mauser C96, and the Mauser 06/08. Actually, that last one was only ever a prototype, but I would love for a production model along with the 9mm ammo designed for it.

I've seen parts kits for the 57. Good luck making a reciever. I've also seen a rebarreled 57 from parts into 7.62x51 as the SG 510-4 configuration and it shoots beautifully but not as well without GP11. There would be a pretty good market if someone could make one in 7.62x39 or 6.5 Creedmore much like DSA makes FALs.Being a US citizen, that doesn't exactly help me. LOL
But I'd love to see any of the guns I mentioned being made brand new again, but only if they would be built to the same standard (or better) as the original models. No cost cutting bull like using MIM/investment casting for parts that were originally machined and things like that.
MIM, investment casting, forging (since you finish machine pretty much all the parts), and billet, are all technologies that have their place. one is not inherently better than the other - it depends on the work piece and intended function as well as execution. not understanding this often results in poor performance and unhappy customers, not to mention is somewhat stagnating for machined products. we've migrated away from body on frame vehicle designs for typical commuter passenger vehicles for a good reason. No cost cutting bull like using MIM/investment casting for parts that were originally machined and things like that.

Go the turboautist route and take a month off of work to reproduce the 06/08 yourself.I agree for the most part. My feeling is that with firearms that were designed and made in the first half of the 20th century, such as the M1918 Browning/Colt Monitor or Mauser 06/08, if you're going to make them again then they need to be authentic. A big part of the reason I have an interest in those guns is because of the genius that went into their designs. It was often one man with a workshop, some tools, some drafting paper and pencil, and his brain all trying to bring this idea he had to life. I feel like not being authentic with making a gun like that would be like taking a vintage Corvette or Shelby Mustang and then dropping a turbocharged Honda Civic engine in it. Its like sacrilegious.
Prices for a good conditioned Stgw. 57 start from 450 bucks over there. And some beaters with shot out barrels but still functioning, around 250 dollars. And this was just from one website I looked into, so maybe it's less than that. But that's a ballpark.STG-57s can be commonly found in Switzerland and europe I think. Not so much the US![]()
Over a $1000 here. Oh I'd love to import the beat to shit ones.Prices for a good conditioned Stgw. 57 start from 450 bucks over there. BATFE form 6 and work out an arrangement with an importer state-side and an exporter for the firearm. it would either have to be a parts kit, demilitarized, or rebuilt into a sporting configuration prior to import. there are also various fees associated with personal import of firearms, sometimes at a state level as well since the form 6 will not be approved if the configuration is not legal in your state of residence, regardless of where the importer is located.Oh I'd love to import the beat to shit ones.

It's aesthetic as fuck is one of the few unique designs in the handgun world.I don't understand the appeal of that pistol. I've never owned one, only finger-fucked/fired ones owned by others (and only the M. I'm not implying insult or anything, I simply can't wrap my mind around why a decent amount of people like that pistol.
Closest I have come was a tokarev running away on me. Its rather useless in my opinion though, unless you are within like 5yds.Anyone here ever run a full auto pistol? I've gotten a tiny bit of trigger time on submachine guns, so I better understand why some groups run those. But a full auto pistol like the Glock 18 I can't see the utility of, that's why I'm asking you all.
