As far as I can tell, Nick does not intend to argue that Cog edited the video to make Nick look bad.

He's just going to argue that the passively constructed sentence he doesn't understand implies something that it doesn't, namely that the statement that someone "able to review the video that was taken off of Nick's social media sites" means that the person making the statement had to directly view the video on Nick's channel.... which is not at all what it says.

But the fact that Nick's on Twitter pre-gloating the day before the hearing makes me think he actually is fully confident it will work.

Upon re-reading the motion, I believe the argument is that he must have seen the logo added as part of the YouTube user interface, which means he had to know it was on Cog's channel and not Rekieta's channel, AND couldn't have known if it was edited further, AND therefore the probable cause is GONE.

But according to the motion itself, Nick hid the evidence. It's not even in dispute!

The next best option is to use a copy which claims to be an accurate copy of the original.

Thats hard water, its not uncommon in certain areas, especially rural areas that use wellwater. It comes about because of minerals in the water. Your clothes would be fine, as would any other use of water, so long as you get it tested for any heavy metals and the like every few years. It also takes a LONG time to build up. Like, years and years, its a very slow process, especially when it gets that bad. Its more a symptom of desperation (not properly cleaning or replacing the tub) than a symptom of serious issues with the plumbing.

Semi Off-Topic: Is this the beginning of Kurt’s redemption arc?

I have honestly felt kind of bad for him after Kino Casino uncovered that video of him that he sent in for that dating service or whatever. He seems like a guy who just never really got into a good relationship.

Kurt is actually a smart lawyer, but it's obvious his personal life is a mess and deeply unfulfilling for him.

What he needs to understand (and hopefully is beginning to) is Rekieta has no appreciation for the former anymore ("never a law channel"), and can offer Kurt no help with the latter. Nick is not Kurt's friend. Nick is not anybody's friend. Nick is all about Nick. Kurt's salvation, whatever that is for him, does not lie with Nick.

What the cop ACTUALLY said was that he was able to review the video that was TAKEN OFF OF Nick's channel. Cog's reupload was Nick's video that was TAKEN OFF OF Nick's channel.

To be perfectly honest with you, I initially interpreted that portion of the warrant application the same way Nick seems to be. Apparently @Himedall All-seeing Waifu read in the same way too. I always assumed they got their copy from Nick's YouTube or Rumble channel before he privated both.

That said, I also see how "taken off" could mean "a copy somewhere else that was taken off Nick's channel."

If the judge could see how both interpretations could apply, I don't see the problem. I don't think the cop lied. None of the lawtubers that have reviewed this thus far seem to think Nick will win on this point.
