He made good money on his last book so I'm sure JD Vance will make good money again. As usual, Patrick is just jealous at better authors. His movie based on his last book however did terribly though. According to some reports, his first book has now sold 750000 with a huge increase of 200000 books sales since becoming VP. If we go by the current sales price that's $12750000USD, without sales, $27000000., Patrick with his 1.2 GPA doesn't understand math.

I never heard of that publishing company so likely the books are shit quality and filled with spelling and grammar errors.

I can't tell you how many times I've gone to Amazon to buy a book and thought to myself "African speculative fiction, that's what I need." Oh wait, yes I can. Zero times, though I did read one good African book called Fever by a guy named Deon Myers. Really good read. I'm hoping for a sequel. Ooga's got nothing.

I once saw Pat get in an argument with a guy on twitter about book piracy. Pat was blaming piracy for his shitty sales, and the other guy chimed in to say he was also an author and didn't give a shit about piracy. Pat said there was no way the other guy was an author, and the second the other guy posted proof Pat just blocked him. I wish I could find the exchange now but god does Pat have a lot of fucking tweets arguing with people.

Unless it's story about Anansi, African authors can fuck off. Hell even Anansi stories are just stolen stories from other cultures anyways as all they can do is steal.

I read a short story by a Nigerian author in middle school. It was called Civil Peace. I thought it was pretty good.
Also District 9 is technically African.

My memory is there is some 300+ possible cases for him. I can't see how one can get all those possible jurisdictions all agreeing to not hang him out to dry with what deal he cuts in a different jurisdiction.

I'd guess there is a state or 2 that don't have compassionate release so Alan could then be sent to one of those states once he's in his early 60's. Why the guess - the US Justice system and courts blow goats.

The first book sold quite a lot, and interest in it soared again after Vance' VP nomination. Pretty sure it'll make back that advance, and then some.
I think it was in the SFWA thread where someone posted a blog post by some writer explaining that the big memoirs and famous authors are basically what keeps publishers afloat and allow them to publish bottom feeders like Patirck.
