It's the dumbest place.

They have a Zoom app for Android and Apple. You can use your phone. I've used Zoom on Android for doctor's appointments before (telemedicine).

Doing it from the room that the Cokestream happened in, and in the same house the 26 grams of cocaine were found in, is fucking retarded. Especially if she's 'just visiting."
If it were me, I would want to stream under the best possible conditions -- working set up, camera, lighting, mic -- to attend court. Just turn on the Zoom background and/or hang up a sheet.

I do see your point and that everyone else considers this a terrible move, though.

i mean props to him for coming on but all examples hes using are soooooo bad
He's trying to argue beyond his experience (collections) with someone who was a cop, prosecutor, and criminal defense counsel. It's pilpul of the highest order.

He's the guy in the hat? Kind of amazing he's so off on this, if he's a lawyer. Nate is right.
Yes. You are watching real-time pilpul.

Hell, I’d go to the courthouse!

Pretty sure Nate was the first one blocked by Barnes. One of Lawtube's first streams where they were figuring out sides and Barnes spewed the first silo of "UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!" retarded shit. Barnes didn't like that Nate wasn't in board and then BLOCKED!
I think Nate and Sean pissed of Barnes because Nate and Sean have experience as prosecutors as well as being public defenders. They aren’t razzle dazzled by him, they were more than willing to offer their own commentary rather than agree with him like Nick did (Nick basically never disagreed with anyone unless everyone did).

edit: Joe joined and is full on balldo washing.
edit2: Joe is arguing in bad faith now. It's so clear so much of lawtube just doesn't know anything about law.
When people mention the phrase "loyal to a fault", this situation is what they're referring to. Being loyal is typically a good trait. Being loyal to a shitty person often results in bad outcomes.

There are some people who are not worth being loyal to. Kurt was in this camp originally with Nick, but thankfully it seems as though he's learned his lesson for now. I hope Joe does as well, because I don't think he's an inherently shitty person and I do like him, I just think he's demonstrating loyalty to someone who absolutely doesn't deserve it and it's annoying as fuck.

Why is nick out $2k? She got released ror, just be in contact, didn't she?
@Dixieland Buckaroo is referring to the fact that 10% of $20k is $2k. 10% is normally what a bail bondsman would look to be paid upfront before posting the rest. I don't know if she will just accept the free conditional bond, or paid unconditional one. Nick was conditional until he elected to pay for the unconditional one a few days after his release. Some people surmise Nick will fork out the $2k for April.

She'd almost certainly want to go unconditional. I don't think any of them are magically off the dope and alcohol.

Kurt found some relevant case law, prompting Joe to say: “That blows my argument up. You were right and I was wrong.” Before that, I heard him state multiple times that he was not familiar with the specific case law around this matter.
That really doesn't excuse how terrible his pilpul was. He was trying to gaslight a former police officer, state prosecutor and criminal defense attorney on search warrants and their applicability. That was a ridiculous premise by Joe.
He bounced right when Nate called out Barnes for being a defense lawyer and not knowing about it.
In Joe's defense, he has his own daily show around 10 PM ET.

Joe had previously stated he had a livestream starting at 10PM and would have to bounce. He left as soon as Kurt presented that case law, but not before unambiguously stating that he was wrong and the others were right.

joe has access to the same databases kurt does. if joe was honest, he could have found that as easily as kurt did.
