It seems intentional. Sharing on the internet is the felony or sharing it with someone who then shares it on the internet is a felony for both. Felony for sharing, getting the misdemeanor, commiting the same crime again.

There is an exception for complying with law enforcement. Subdivision 4. Exceptions

As such showing it to law enforcement is, exempt.
