A husband and wife have been missing from their California home for several days.

RadarOnline.com can reveal Daniel and Stephanie Menard were reported missing by a friend on August 25. The couple was last seen at their residence at the family nudist resort, Olive Dell Ranch, at 10 A.M. on August 24.

The Redlands Police Department highlighted the urgency of finding the couple as Daniel suffers from dementia and diabetes.

Daniel, 79, and Stephanie's, 73, white Shih Tzu, Cuddles, is also missing.

The couple's unlocked vehicle was found just down the road from their home.

Both of their cell phones and Stephanie's purse were found still inside their residence, located in the nudist ranch, which boasts 5 miles of hiking trails with beautiful mountain views, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a clubhouse with daily activities. The ranch is close to 2 towns for shopping and restaurants.

Olive Dell Ranch is locked 45 minutes away Disneyland and the Beaches.

Their friend told the media: "There’s no way that Stephanie or Dan could have walked away from that car.

"She has a cane. It was at home, her purse, their cellphones — things they would never have left at home."

The Redlands Police Department claims there has been no indication of foul play, but friends and family have expressed concern about their safety.

Another friend of the couple shared: "They don't deserve this. ... They're just good people. They go to church. They don't deserve any of this.

"[The neighbor] went inside their home to see if they would be OK inside and they didn't find them in there, but they found Stephanie's purse was in there, [her] cane was in there. ... [The] TV was left on, [the] computer was left on. It was just very suspicious for them to be gone."

Their disappearance and lack of answers have left other Olive Dell residents scared they could be next.

One of their neighbors, Tammie Wilkerson, described Daniel as sweet and funny before adding how the disappearance is affecting their community.

She shared: "Dan was funny, and he was sweet. It just plagues me. I can't believe somebody would do something like this to them. It hurts my heart 'cause they didn't deserve it."

Wilkerson added: "I'm terrified. I haven't slept since this happened. I'm terrified that I'm gonna be next."

Chris Baker, spokesperson for the City of Redland, explained the measures the police department were taking to locate the couple.

Bake told CBS there are "search dogs from Riverside Sheriff's Office and a helicopter from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office."

I'm kinda hoping they have the wrong guy just because the state shouldn't be able to search with a fucking bulldozer (they went missing Saturday, I doubt they are under the foundation) but given the facts of the case they are probably correct.
Highly doubt that the bodies are anywhere within the vicinity of the house. Most likely scenario, they are buried somewhere in the desert. The cops should be using K-9 units and combing the surrounding area for tire tracks, drag marks, and recently-disturbed soil if they want to locate their remains.

Neighbor is having some Opinions on the facebook.

edit
Somebody smarter than me is gonna have to do any archiving of this because I cannot get shit to work right now.

I’m guessing they don’t want anyone tampering with an active crime scene and they also haven’t found the remains of my missing neighbors who most like are somewhere in the tunnels he’s dug behind and under his trailer.

i'm not gonna say that i thought that he was digging tunnels under his house but uh... the strange police response and vague description of "found under his house" is starting to make more sense

Did the police always drive a tank through the side of a house as a solution to things? My aunt had a situation near her about a month ago where some dude had barricaded himself in a house and was shooting at cops, and yeah they just sort of... well, there isn't much of a living room anymore.

When the nudist resort gets DEI’d. Idk if this has anything to do with them going missing but it sounds like there’s some weird stuff going on there. Well, weirder than normal.
By the wording ("the staff is pushing pride/sexuality groups), it sounds like the new management is allowing gay men to take over who are now fucking all over the place in the open, where it used to be a "family" resort where that kind of thing isn't allowed and is usually mostly populated by old people. Personally I don't think kids should be around any nudist resort, even the "normal" ones, but I can understand being upset that your boring old nudist colony has turned into a gay Hedonism II. Very mysterious though

Baddies generally expect raids to come from windows/doors but nobody expects a SWAT team Kool-Aid Man'ing their way into wherever they've holed up. So there's an effectiveness/safety argument for it. Usually it's a multipurpose machine like this:

I don't know if you've ever driven a skid-steer before but even the non-tactical variants are fun to drive. Getting to enact your own killdozer sequence is even better. I know a guy who used to be certified to operate one for local law enforcement. The happiest I've ever seen him is getting the call to go wreck some shit with it.

"Sparks surrendered voluntarily after being found under his home, which was torn down by a police armored vehicle..."
Yeah as fucking weird as this whole situation is those morons better find or plant a fucking LMG or something if they don't want a historical lawsuit. Even if it turns out the guy did it they might be fucked. I doubt they thought the place was booby trapped because, yknow, when you smash an explosive really hard it tends to blow the fuck up.

Plus, I might just be missing it but there doesn't seem to have been much of a "standoff" or any negotiations. This feels incredibly illegal, but knowing the whole police militia shit that's happened in the past similar to this, it'll probably be a Scott free getaway.
People who cry ACAB are always referring to dumb Niggers and drug addicts etc. Never this crazy shit.
There are obviously issues, but America is a big place. "Defunding the police" as a blanket statement is retarded. I see videos of a lot of good cops. And I see videos of bad cops too.

What is the solution? Or should I say, who is policing the police?

eta: read the thread to my post, this guy seems psycho and probably deserved it. But that doesn't make it seem any less extreme to me.

Human remains found underneath home of suspect in Redlands couple's disappearance

A cadaver dog detected at least one body underneath the suspect's home.

REDLANDS, Calif. (KABC) -- Human remains were found underneath the home of the suspect arrested in connection with the disappearance of a missing Redlands couple, authorities confirmed Friday.

Michael Royce Sparks, 62, was arrested on suspicion of murder overnight after authorities swarmed the neighborhood and locked down the area surrounding the Olive Dell Ranch nudist resort Thursday. Sparks was booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.

During a news conference Friday morning, Carl Baker with the Redlands Police Department said Sparks surrendered voluntarily after Sparks was found underneath his home, which was tore down by a police armored vehicle with a hydraulic battering ram.

The human remains have not yet been identified but Baker previously said the victims - Stephanie Menard, 73, and her husband, Daniel, 79 - are believed to be dead.

Baker said the remains were found in bags located in a concrete bunker underneath Sparks' home.

"We had a city crew with a camera that we use to evaluate sewer blockages. They were able to run that camera into that space and verify the presence of the evidence," said Baker.

"There were no tunnels that we can tell," he added. "There is a space about 5 feet deep ... and it goes back maybe to the back of the property, which is a mobile home."

Cadaver dogs from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department were brought in to search the property Friday morning.

Authorities said a cadaver dog had detected at least one body underneath the home, near the area where Sparks was taken into custody.

"He did have a rifle and he did attempt to kill himself when police discovered him," said Baker of the moment Sparks was found. "The weapon misfired ... it didn't go off."

Officials were assessing whether the structure was safe to enter after it sustained significant damage during Thursday's operation.

The motive for the alleged killings remains unclear, but authorities said the suspect and victims were neighbors.

One neighbor described a difficult relationship between Sparks and the Menards, which possibly involved some sort of dispute over a tree that was cut down. Meanwhile, another resident who spoke with Eyewitness News was shocked to hear about the situation.

What happened to Stephanie and Daniel Menard?

The Menards had last been seen Saturday morning leaving their home at the Olive Dell ranch in the 26000 block of Keissel Road, according to the Redlands Police Department. A friend reported them missing the next day.

The couple's vehicle was found unlocked down the road from their home Sunday. Stephanie's purse was found inside the home and both of their cellphones were also found at their home. Their dog, a small white shih tzu named Cuddles, was also missing. Baker could not provide more information about the fate of the dog.

"There's no way that Stephanie or Dan could have walked away from that car," friend Tammie Wilkerson told Eyewitness News Tuesday. "She has a cane. It was at home, her purse, their cellphones - things they would never have left at home."

Daniel Menard suffered from dementia and is diabetic, police say.

Friends say the couple, who is part of a possible lawsuit against the ranch, was being harassed and feared that may have had something to do with their disappearance.

The couple was said to be very active in their church and in the Olive Dell community.

"They're very sweet people. There's not a mean bone in their body at all, which makes this very confusing," Wilkerson said.
