It is amazing the amount of mental gymnastics debate bros go through to justify literal scum behavior. A personal favorite to me was the argument that anything beyond basic necessities is 100% a luxury, and those without the means of paying 5 times the price of a ticket (that was priced low for the exact reason that is allowing people with less economical means to attend a show) are completely undeserving of watching that show. Anyway, many many bands are fighting scalpers at the moment because they do not want their tickets going to the ultra wealthy and do want low cost opportunities for people to see them. Many bands are genuinely more interested in being surrounded by people who live and breathe their art because it's a completely different vibe. If Destiny ever left the house to attend a show, he might notice how often bands don't allow transfers, or have set up a system where you have to show up with your ID to be seated. The goal for those bands isn't to make as much money as possible. Often times, it's to make sure their crew get paid, they can make a comfortable living, and also not price their fans out of shows. It's why so many bands hate dynamic pricing. (Don't get me wrong, some bands just claim to hate dynamic pricing and just allow ticketmaster to be the bad guy. But many many many bands do not like that shit.)

Venues will also take a cut of merch, so sometimes artists do have to raise the price of t-shirts temporarily because the venue is taking way too much of a cut, so for them to make it to the next show, they have to raise prices. But they bring them right back down when venues aren't nickel and diming them even though the fans will pay for it. The goal is NOT to make as much money as possible for a lot of bands.

Billy Joel won't sell front row seats to his shows because he wants to make sure those seats go to his real fans who are in much worse seats. The Cure had a whole thing last year where they refunded people who got charged more than $20 and refused to enable dynamic pricing. Not everyone is just looking to line their pockets as much as possible, and that behavior should be discouraged in bands.

Also, just as a protip, if you ever have to go through a scalper, wait until about an hour before the show. You can often times get tickets for less than the scalper paid because they're trying to offload to recoup as much money as possible.

Yeah that was my assumption the interior of the house was too girly, had too many plants (like Zoe's old apartment) which is why I assumed that it wasn't Jakob's.
I have a very good idea of where Jakob lives at (finding the hangar and looking at the surrounding areas basically solved it). Zoe's house is probably near the restaurant (still not 100% as I didn't screenshot when that picture was taken). There's a bunch of houses around that area, today is basically just starting to hunt them down using the pictures I have.

I think the room she shoots her youtube videos in is a separate studio in itself. I always assumed it's a little cabin or some sort of "shed" separated from her house somewhere, not a full fledged house. Though I remember her saying either on twitter or insta that she had to drive up to this studio to quickly film a video to due to some very recent event that she wanted to get the jump on. As far as I know, her studio constructed by some guy called Nick Sheehan, who did that type of work on sets for Michael Knowles on the daily wire, so lots of construction work and stuff like that to build what she has in her backgrounds, and it looks too unoriginally like Brett Cooper's old set up, so how about that.

Even now when you could buy a streaming package that lets you watch any team, the fact of the matter is you local team will likely be more accessible, and cheaper to watch/listen to on a daily basis.

Generally speaking team relocations are more about the quality of the venue they play in rather than the sheer size of the market. It was the promise of a new stadium that got the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL to relocate to St. Louis, MO (a city maybe one ninth the size) in the mid 90's, and it was the declining quality of that stadium relative to others in the league that led them to go back to Los Angeles in 2016.

I'm not an economist, but I think consoles are generally sold at a loss because companies don't want people to go to their competitors. So they make up for the loss on the console through the actual games. This is done on Japanese consoles as well. And these companies try to build communities around those games. So I think the idea that the company should be selling the console for as much as they can is stupid. They've benefitted from the mainstreaming of gaming and having as many people playing the games and spreading them by word of mouth.

As far as sports teams, there is a deep deep sense of pride in your local team. @Latrell Sprewell mentioned St Louis, which is deeply proud of it's sports teams, but the Rams were not there for that long, so when they left, so people probably just supported the Kansas City Chiefs instead. If the Cardinals or the Blues moved, it would be a whole different story. The same is true of Chicago with the Bears or the Cubs or the Bulls who iconically "Chicago." And in fact, there is a sense of rivalry between these two cities over those two teams. And there is a deep sense of hurt when one of your players moves to another team. The Packers have fans who wear those weird cheese hats because they're from Wisconsin. The Yankees are one of the things you think of when you think of New York. (Maybe not the Mets) So there's a local culture that's tied to it. So, it's undeniable that there is capitalism involved, but people in the US also grow deeply attached to their favorite teams. It probably just depends on how much of a sports town it is. Would Miami care of the Marlins or the Dolphins left? Probably not that much. Because when most people think of Miami, they don't think about the Marlins, they think, "Do I need to look over my shoulder when I visit there to make sure Destiny isn't lurking and waiting to suck me dry?"

Music is the same. You have your casuals who just want to have a good time, get drunk and go see a band play their radio hits, which is why Oasis is using dynamic pricing. I take your point about the size of the USA, I also assume that's why even high school sports sell out massive stadiums. I am being a bit reductive with the Texas example of course, but I'll give a few examples of what I'm getting at.

The easiest example I can think of is FC Barcelona, who are a symbol of Catalan culture and resistance against Franco in the Spanish Civil war. Their club motto is "mes que un club", which translates to "more than a club". Athletic Club are also associated with Basque culture and identity.

As far as I'm aware, tickets for major sporting events in America are insane and your average fan essentially has 0 chance of attending games like the superbowl or major finals, etc. The clubs don't feel any responsibility or obligation to their fans, and likewise the fans don't pressure the club into acting differently. The teams are souless, corporate entities/franchises who exist to make as much money as possible. On the other hand, teams around the rest of the world are closely linked to politics/religion/culture/identity (not just geographic location). I don't doubt that people are loyal and invested in their team in america, but it's just on another level around the world.

If this is how America views their sporting institutions, it's not surprising to me that Destiny doesn't care about average people being able to attend concerts at a reasonable price.
