I'm only halfway joking, since it's a legit Orthodox tradition, but it's more that he knows he couldn't hack living communally under the discipline of an abbot governed by strict rules rather than a real eremitical bent to his spiritual practice.

I've known more than one person irl who has told me they got laid from reading Roosh's stuff. My own style of game was always a bit different from Roosh's style but I could definitely see how it could work
